"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I appreciate all the feedback and it's all good information. But I've tried pretty much all of it at some point. I've tried saying **** it and just going out there and trying to meet women.
I'm going to go out on a limb, and say meeting women, shouldn't be a goal right now.

You are a tough man, Armstrong. You just need to realize it. You've gone through the warzone of divorce..and yes, you survived!! Your neediness for this woman, you survived!

You are still waking up every morning, and eating breakfast, just like everyone else.

You've realized, through the hard way, that you can not place your happiness...in another person's hands. This case, your ex-wife.

You need a 'win' right now. Go conquer something. Something you've always wanted to do, in life. Go do it now.

Be it climbing a mountain, or exploring a foreign country. Everyone, has a big dream, that they want to do in this lifetime.

I suggest, you find yours. And ****ing destroy that dream into pieces by getting it done. While you can, you are a free man. Your life, is your's to live. I suggest you take this time to not waste it as a victim. Be the captain, of your life.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

This is good advice but I have to tell you I've gone down that road time and time again. I never had success with women before I met my ex. And much of those years was spent on the sidelines, ignoring women because I believed I should focus on other things instead. I understand what you say is for my best interest, but it's not something I want to do anymore. I want to grab this problem by the horns and conquer it.

And speaking of conquering things, that hasn't worked for me either as far as building confidence and translating that into romance goes. I've done many things in my life and just this past week had probably the biggest accomplishment of my life. But that doesn't make me feel any more confident with women.

Maybe the most frustrating thing for me is that I want this so bad. And I'm not even wishing for my soulmate at this point - just a date. This morning was a classic example of how things go for me. I walk into the photo lab at the pharmacy and there sits this gorgeous girl uploading her pictures into the computer. What do I say? Absolutely nothing because my mind went blank. Like it always does. I can't even bring myself to smile because I'm so frozen. I've tried everything. I've tried thinking positive, not giving a ****, handing out lollypops, you name it.

And when I do actually say something to a woman, it goes nowhere. There's never a spark with any of them. They never show interest. I start to wonder what's the point in even approaching. I know everyone who has spoken up is trying to help and I appreciate it. Believe me, I'm not trying to be Mr. Negative and ruin everybody's weekend lol. I'm simply hoping that by being honest maybe someone will see something that I don't.
