Travelling

I am looking into travelling the world for 3-6 months....

I think the time has come where i need a break from life in the UK and civilasation.

What i am wondering is where do I start.

I have heard quite alot of people on here have been traveling.

How do you sort it out? Where do you start? What do you have to do? How do you find out where the hostals are. Is language a big issue.

Basically any knowledge on the subject would be appreicated.

Advice and tips. Where to start....who can help me plan the trip.

I don't know anything about Europe, but a motorcycle ride across the south of Spain would probably be my choice.
