"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

So I've finally decided to take the plunge and take myself and my life a bit more seriously.

A little bit about me:
I'm 20 years old, 21 in a couple of months, big V. I'm 5'6" and 135 (for the time being, working to raise that a bit). I'm currently attending college and I'm 2 years away from graduation (dang 5 year schools). I have never been in anything that resembles a relationship. I've had a "make out buddy" which served nothing, but give me blue balls (I probably could have banged her but afraid to escalate. In all the times we made out I had only seen her tits once and she initiated that :( ).

For the longest time I was that "nice guy" that came in dead last all the time. I was never really social which I attribute to some of the things that happened over the course of my school career which shaped my personality to what it is today. I have done some of the most AFC-ish things you could possibly think of, but I luckily I managed to look back at the dumb sh1t that I would do and stopped.

Anyway. Those days are for the most part over. I've become slightly more social. I don't do too many seriously AFC things anymore, but it's mostly because I don't actively take interest in girls anymore. It's all passive.

Week 1, Day 1
So I started the Bootcamp today and this being the first day. Throughout the day when I was out of my room I attempted to establish eye contact with any attractive female who walked by but it seems they steadfastly look in front of them and don't pay attention to those who are walking by. I have a natural tendency to look side to side when I walk which inadvertantly breaks my gaze which I have to work to control.

Also, I managed one "hi" to a person who I didn't know. It was fun though when I did it as the response was quite enthusiastic.

I haven't really been attempting to count eye contacts because they come and go so quickly (with smiles) that I don't know if they were legitimate.

Hi tally: 1

Just 49 more to go in 6 more days.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Week 1 Day 2

So today wasn't all that special. I was running around pretty much all day today. I noticed that trying to get EC from people is annoying because everyone acts as if noone else exists. I try to look at nearly every person that I walk by. I got some EC here and there throughout the day and a few smiles.

I'm managed two "Hi"s today though. I need to ramp it up if I want to even think about making it to 50 by the end of the week.

I find it awkward to just say hi to someone who doesn't really seem to be acknowledging your existence though. I guess by acknowledging them you bring them into the reality that they are not the only person on the planet.

Week 1, Day 2 Addendum

I realized that I can rock the EC pretty well when people aren't in there "I'm invisible" mode. I can make the eye contact and follow it up with a smile and get the smile in response. I like that. I like that a lot. Now I just need to accompany those with "Hi".

Are you making eye contact while you both are moving, both are sitting/standing still, only you are moving, only she is, etc... hope that made sense.

Mostly when I'm walking to and fro from place to place. So we'll usually both be moving.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
