Toughest Modern Actor?

So with The Duke long gone and Eastwood likely on the verge of retiring from acting in favor of directing, who's next in line to take the throne of toughest actor? I'm mostly thinking in terms of "tough bastard you definitely wouldn't want to f*ck with" here.

Right now my favorites are Robert DeNiro, Samuel L. Jackson or possibly Clive Owen.

Robert Downey? WTF...

Maybe I have not seen all of his movies, but he usually comes across as a weasal. (E.g. Wierd Science, Second Installment of the Fugitive and some other movie where Mike Tyson almost beats him up)
