"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Just thought id share my situation with my SS buddies. I played the highest level of hockey my whole life, the last 2 years i have been out of it, becuase of university. This year i have the option to join a team, about a 20 minuite drive from my university. This isnt really a respected league, and wont give me anymore pull with the ladies, but about 4 or 5 of my friends are doing it, and this is my last chance to play competive hockey(i will be too old).
On the flip side, im in a hard a.ss program for school, and i work as a bank teller too. This hockey team will play games on weekends pretty much eating up my entire weekend. I also will be able to workout less if i play hockey. So my decision if basically
1.Dont play hockey, concentrate on school, be able to go to the gym more
but possible regret missing my last crack at hockey before im too old
2. Play hockey along with school and work, but regret later that i have less time for school gym and going out..

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

How would you do in that league? Would you be a standout player? Do you have a chance at being a star, or are you never going to be more than just another player?

I don't understand the gym vs hockey part? Doesn't practice and training give you a good enough workout?

Do not neglect school. School is the best investment you can make in your position. I say that because, as tough as it may sound, you are probably not a world-class player or they would have put you on a contract some time ago in a respected league. They way you put it I understand that hockey is your hobby, not your profession.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having time to go out and meeting ladies. Just do what you want to do, and having a girl come to your game is a good date too.

Like you I played competitive hockey my whole life and after turning 20, I ran out of real options. I played in some tournaments for money but there were only a few per year and I couldn't play in the league because it wasn't competitive enough for me to keep my edge. I was a goalie and played like a sive if it wasn't an important game.

I miss playing hockey as a result I have to live vicariously through the NHL. I'd say as long as it doesn't impact your school work, go for it. I'd give up my weekends for hockey.

There will always be girls around but your hockey playing days are numbered unless you can enjoy a beer league when you get older.

The gym vs hockey aspect of it is. Hockey is about 3-4 intense cardio sessions a week. It will be almost impossible to bulk or put any weight on top of that, with my 1-2 gym sessions i could fit into a week.

Ive made my decision. A No for hockey, its just not worth giving up weeekends, workouts, and potential school marks

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
