Topless Pic On Pof - Good Or Bad Idea?

how effective do you find having a topless pic of yourself on your pof profile?

is it a turn off for woman? i,m in pretty good shape.. no eccesive fat & well developed chest & arms

i have not yet put a topless pic on my profile, as not sure if it may end up having the opposite effect & put them bishes off

Only if you have a good rig. Even then I would only post if it were a beach/lake/waterfall photo or something natural.
Not a topless gym/mirror selfie.

A more tasteful alternative might be an underRmour shirt or something else that shows you are fit... But again, it should be natural looking not a selfie.

Lots of women really have something against shirtless pics in the bathroom. If I were to do it i'd make sure I was at the beach or something, and really had something to show off.

It works if your body is worth looking at... On POF it would work even better if your body is covered in tattoos.

I get slightly better results with body pics than without. I think it's mostly in getting them to see you as a sexual object. Not necessarily going to change a woman who's not attracted to your face into a "yes" though.



I think the whole body shot in mirror vs. at beach vs. not at all is overthinking it.

Yes, lots of women have "if you have a pic with your shirt off - go somewhere else." or "if all your pics are shirtless pics in your bathroom mirror - go somewhere else."

But...

A lot of women also have "if you're just looking for sex - go somewhere else; i am not the girl for that."

And we know how that works out for them.


Pay attention to what gets results.... Not what women claim to think about it (or what is "alpha" or not).

As long as the body is fit it doesn't matter where it's taken. Only the fuglies don't like topless. They won't admit it but they love em . I did an experiment using a topless v non topless. The results were mind boggling.

Ignore all these people saying make sure it's at the beach or some crap......going to the beach just to get a pic.....it's COMPLETELY unnecessary....if you are in shape just stand in front of the mirror and take a selfie...your results will go up dramatically....and ignore what the women say about selfie shirtless pics..if you look good they will want to meet you...it's not try hard at all...it's just maximizing your success....no0t sure why some posters are self concsious saying it's too try hard...my profile was MUCH more effective with a shirttless pic back when i was more fit...girls only want what appeals to their eyes and what other women want...they will sit there and say it's too try hard or cheesy to their friends and other guys yet will be meetying up with and banging guys on the side who have good shirtless pics....women...geez

I have shirtless picture of me standing up in the hot tub showing my tats and women seem to like it. definitely notice a decrease number of women wanting to talk to me when I post bathroom mirror pictures.

But women process their sexual attraction slightly differently then men and it is far more connected to their emotions. So when we post shirtless pictures we are thinking of what we as men would like to see women doing, rather than considering how women think.

Always keep your audience in mind. Sometimes I like to get into the head of a women so I google things that might be a problem for women. Like "how come no guys approach me" or "Can't stand guys posting pictures of themselves with their shirts off". --Whatever.

Shirtless selfies could potentially lead some people into believing that you are self absorbed or that you are too into yourself. Plus every other guy has one, so it doesn't even make you stand out because there are plenty of guys that have good bodies out there.

getting them to think of you as a sexual being is precisely why I have always put up a shirtless pic as far back as when MySpace started

completely agree...and if you're seen as a sexual being who can offer great pleasure, it does not matter much what, how, or why you look like you do.

Have you ever looked at the shirtless pics that most guys post? For some reason, guys can't tell the difference between creepy and sexy. When they try to look extra sexy, they just look extra creepy.

I second the advice to use pics where you just happen to be shirtless, like playing beach volleyball or swimming.

I agree that a "incidental" beach shirtless pic is preferred, but if you dont have one, just use a damn selfie. Look at it this way: you are competing on a shallow dating site against hundreds of over-weight, out of shape men. If you are ripped as hell and tan, and post a shirtless pic, it will get her wet and make her want to bang you more. Regardless of what her profile says.

If you're going to post a shirtless selfie, make it a good one. Believe it or not, there are good dooshy selfies and bad dooshie selfies:

Bad Dooshy Selfie - Guy who is not actually that ripped/jacked (usually they're so skinny that they just have a runner's six pack, and the biggest part of their arms and shoulders is their biceps), who is clearly flexing what little he has with all his might, making a face like he's pretending to be Snoop Dogg after doing a drive by in Compton, preferably with a fake gang sign and a tribal tat and a flatbill

Good Dooshy selfie - A guy who is in top physical shape, who it's apparent he works out because living a healthy lifestyle is a huge part of who he is, not simply to impress people, doesn't look like he's trying to impress any one, making a neutral or smiling facial expression, wearing just standard gym shorts or bathing suit or whatever

You call bs? What I say isn't based off of what women tell me, it is based upon observation and psychology. How much more emotional are women than men? How much do women cry? They cry when they win, they cry when they lose. I find women to be *hyper-emotional* in comparison to hanging out with my guy friends. That right there shows that they are more 'in touch' with their feelings and emotions. Women and men are different -- plain and simple! I do agree with what you said about paying attention to her actions, this is absolutely necessary to be able to read the situation properly.

It is good to let a women know that you have a nice body because then they can visualize themselves having sex with you. What I meant to say is that you want to do this, but be subtle. You have to slip in behind their guard.

If you don't believe me you can look at the statistics gathered by Okcupid. It shows that men don't care about women taking mirror selfies or any selfies for that matter and women do.

One more thing, you should absolutely listen to what women say when they don't know your listening. You can learn all about the different types of weaknesses and insecurities that they have. What excites them, what they want. When a woman talks to you or me they will lie so you gotta get it from the horses mouth.
