Greetings Dj's, im 18, and am a full-time student at my local community college, but i feel as if i have way to much free-time on my hands. Im trying to use my time for self-improving activites, and i already work out. Im just clueless as to what clubs or time consuming routines i can create in my life. My life feels so boring, and i dnt have many friends. What do you guys recommend? I don't have a job or source of income currently, but i most likely will during the summer months. Is being at a community college the source of my somewhat lack of an interesting social life? P.S. Im tired of playing of xbox, and think i should just hurry up and sell it

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Haha Wow u sound like me three years ago, i use to sit in my room and play playstation 2 all day. So i sold it and all the games with it and got like £97. Rip off considering i had to pay over a £1000 for all of it, but better than nothing. After that i took up many hobbies and started meeting loads of new people through the DJ Bootcamp and my socialness increased rapidly and helped me land a bar job as well.

So i think you getting a job will help you out and help you meet new people. Jobs i recommend for your age would be:

Types of Jobs
Bar: It is very easy to pick up there and you will meet a lot of girls and make many kool friends.

Hotel or hostel: I wish i did this, but yeah you again get a respectful job and experience, get to meet loads of people from all around the world and most importantely Hotel discounts!!!!!!!woooo.

Bowling Alley: Very fun and relaxing job, usually fun colleagues, get to meet loads of people who are enjoying themselves and increase your social levels to max.

Arcade: This one is pretty good again, You will have a good time and can even play some of the games if u got a laid back manager and again you will meet a lot of people.

Theme Park: Don't know much about this one, but i am sure its GREAT!

Restaurant: This one can be a bit stressful at times, but it will rely a lot on customer service and it might operant condition you to be more social with positive reinforcement with tips haha. Other incentives will be, FREE food well if you are good with the chefs lol. however cleaning can make the hours a bit longer.

Clothes shops: Nice if you have unisex store, my friend worked in one of these and said its a very interesting job and if you are just a bit friendly you will get quite a bit of interest from the girls, hell they might even ask your advice which thong looks better....(eye brow raise). Also will build up your own fashion sense so you will look good when you go out and you will get nice discounts again.

Cinema: These jobs can be quite easy money, but you can end up doing long hours for cleaning even after its closed. On the bright side the people who work there are usually your age and quite kool and down to earth, it is quite a fun job at times and you get to meet lot of people, however quite a lot of the girls will be on dates lol. Again DISCOUNTS, UNLIMITED cinema dates haha.

Supermarket: Hmmm these ones can not be very great if you are on a busy till, but it can be easy money if you don't mind doing repetitive tasks. You will gain customer service skills, but i don't think it will be the same fun/relaxed ones as above. Some stores i know do 15% Discounts on shopping, which can save quite a lot of money in long run.

Well those are all the nice jobs for your age i can think of that don't really need any specific skills and this will put money in your pocket and help you come out of your shell and meet people. You can also try some volunteering.

Also if you have a lot of free time and want to meet people you can do some of the hobbies i listed below, which would proably be quite easy to find in your area.

Hobbies
Salsa : Super easy meeting girls, there is actually lack of guys here
Tango
Samba
Gym classes
:aerobics, legs bums and abs....you will be one of the only guys easy pickings for you and you get a bit of a work out
Yoga/Pilates: Same as above, very important in training after gym
Boxing
Martial arts
: Important life skills
Tennis
Golf

Pool: Good for dates
Swimming: Important life skills
Fencing
Spanish/Italian/French/German classes etc...
: will expand your social circle
Iceskating
Rollerblading
Wrestling
Football
Basketball
Running
Track
Drama
Singing

Guitar/Piano etc...: Pretty neat i am looking to do this soon as well
Massage: Comes in handy
Art
Photography
Rugby
American football

That is funny enough just some of the few, but i am sure you will be able to find something there. We are very lucky to live in age where we can learn pretty much anything and also at your age you will probablly find places and clubs that will do most of these things for free for you or very cheap. Take advantage of that now or you will regret it later if you don't. If someone in your college offers you a opportunity take it (not drugs...), like a party or if they are setting a school holiday or even just the chance to join a college club. You have to be a opportunist in life to experience new things and meet new people and you will be suprised you get a lot of FREE stuff.

Haha i was going to write a small reply, but ah well i think that should be enough. Let us know how you get on, i hope the best for you.

You just described my position right now. I used to hang out with a few people but I left them because I realized what a bunch of losers they were. Now all I do is school work, play video games/surf internet and play guitar. Now I'm wondering if having crappy friends was better than the almost non existant social life I have now. I really think you should sell your video games. Will do you some good.

Is the boot camp really worth it?

Thank you guys for the great insight, especially rushing dude 123! But are there any more tips community?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Well you're at a community college which is gonna be full of commuter students, so if you know of any clubs there that may interest you sign up for them! Might be a cool way to build your social circle at school and meet some chicks.

What I like to do in my free time is skateboard, go for a bike ride, read, draw, just shoot the **** and walk around the neighborhood with my friends.. Maybe take up a drawing/art class at your school and work on projects with people in the class if you're into that sort of thing.
