I'm having a problem while doing my shoulder workout. As I am doing overhead dumbell or barbell presses while sitting on the bench (perpendicular to seat), my back starts to arch badly. I am using my feet to push back against the bench, but that only prevents my back from arching so much. Also, I don't think it is an issue of too much weight; my shoulders can handle the weight. It is only after a certain amount of reps that my back arches more and more, even if I'm doing light weight.

Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

do it on an incline/decline bench with it inclined close to 150-180 degrees so your back is totally stabilized.

btw try using dumbells as opposed to barbels and maybe go a little lighter and see if the same problem occurs.
