"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

he everyone. after reading endless forums for relationship advice its seems that at least nowadays that theres way too many rules. it feels like to start a relationship and to keep one we basically have to stop been ourselves. it just feels too exausting trying not to be needy...perfectly timing when to get in touch with someone...making sure you dont say the wrong thing.especially the whole women dont want a nice guy thing when they say they do....trying to figure out what someone actually means when they say something else. just me that feels like this?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Great topic OP.

I believe the rules are mostly bullsh*t. The truth is you don't have to stop being yourself. You just have to take pride in who you are and stop being so desperate.

I don't currently follow any rules with women. Like none at all. I believe in natural compatibility. Some women will naturally like you and things will flow smoothly without you even having to think about it. Then you have women who are a*sholes, but you want to date them because they're attractive. So you get caught up in the game of trying to make them like you. This game is very bad for your ego and your self-image.

Don't try to make people like you. Just do your thing and you will naturally attract the right people. You will also be attracted to the right people.

Another thing to remember is every relationship doesn't have to last forever or its a waste of time. I've never had a relationship last longer than a year. I attract women easily, but things go south when women start trying to change my habits or my lifestyle too much to accommodate them. I don't believe in that.

Rules and forums like this one are only a knowledge base to build your own inner game from. Awareness of them creates a more natural instinct in you for daily and social encounters. Think it's called amused mastery.
It's all about knowing what's going on when it happens to you in real life, then taking your appropriate action.
Two women tried to pull a pvssy pass on me last night. Recognized it immediately after hanging out here awhile…

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Right behind you
The thing is, all these 'rules' already coexist within you. You just have to embrace them. Make them become a part of your lifestyle and thus you. You have been conditioned for decades to be needy and such, but your genes tell you otherwise. If you really think that being needy is easier than NOT being needy, then you haven't been burned bad enough yet and you haven't lost enough respect for yourself to wish to never do any of those pussified, faggot things ever again. Embrace the pain and learn to love it. It's is the only way you can succeed and thrive.

They are guidelines to get guys started, that is all. Many guys have naturally been brought up to white knight the crap out of women. The guidelines are here to break those bad habits.

If you take them as hard rules, it will not end well. You may start following them rigidly, but then catch on to what works and what doesn't. For example, I initially started with not texting women after a date until they did, then I had one date that did not text even though I felt really high interest. I reached out a couple days later, and setup another date. Had I stuck to the rules, I would not have contacted her at all.

You take pieces and apply it to your personal style.

There are no rules.... there is TYPICAL human nature and behavior, do what you want with this information, just understand that the results will be predictable, in most cases, depending on your actions.

The only rules you should really live by are to always strive to be better tomorrow than you are today and always go after what you want.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
