"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I started to have these things last year. I'm a 22 year old male and this is the most frustrating thing in the world. Once i had these things stuck in my throat for 10 days and i couldn't stop thinking of anything but this.

I did not know what this what. I always felt it was food stuck in my throat. Whenever this happened, it WAS ALWAYS food i ate but i either didn't chew it properly or ate it too fast. I keep telling myself i will chew properly and eat slow but sometimes i don't.

I found out last year this was tonsil stones when checking out yahoo answers and google. Its a white thing less than the size of a pea that SMELLS. So yes it was indeed tonsil stones. I had this about 12 times the last year. Everytime i swallow my saliva or eat something, I feel something stuck in my throat.

Everytime i got the tonsil stones out, I had to intentionally throw up and gargle myself in the neck to make these things cough out. I had success every time but it takes a lot of attempts to do it. Again i have it b/c i ate a hot dog too fast or didnt chew it properly. The last 2 days has been frustrating for me b/c the food is stuck in my throat and i cannot cough these tonsil stones out.

One time i went to the doctor and he gave me some pills to take to help it. The following day or 2 i finally coughed it out but it had nothign to do with the pills. Out of the 12 time i had tonsil stones, i coughed it out every single damn time. I wished i could just swallow it and it goes down my throat but it has never happened once.

I have ate big pieces of bread and drank water/salt to cough it out but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know if a doctor can just go into your throat and take it out? Trying to gag myself in the neck to make it throw up is very hard for me now. My face turns red and well you get the picture.

Does anyone know what i can do? I really don't think i can cough this one out this time.

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

look in the mirror, open your mouth, push you tonsils forward.
It's not easy, it use to make me gag a bit, but works great.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Sure it isn't strep throat or tonsilitis?

Those infections produce the white bumps too and these conditions are very painful.

A better place, a better time.
****, this sounds like something I might be getting. How did you know you had them? Can you actually see them every time, or was it just that you felt you had something stuck back there?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I used to get those stinky things all the time and then it just stopped. I don't know why and I can't really put my finger on anything different I do now. For me they always accompanied a cold...they just didn't happen out of the blue. Once in a while it would cough out...those are the most disgusting vile little piece of odd crap ever to come out of me.

I had them last year. I knew it was food stuck in my throat b/c i got them everytime i ate somethign and didnt chew it fully or i ate it too fast.

I searched google to see what this was and SURE ENOUGH it was tonsil stones. They smell bad and saw some pictures of it. I dont know why ppl complain about the smell. Its just damn annoying when you talk/swallow saliva or anything and you feel it in your throat. Yes you can see them. I found this out yesterday. Actually... i see one thing around my tonsil and people say those are the things. I don't know if those are actually it.

Its been stuck since Tuesday night and i am damn pissed off now. I cant even enjoy my day anymore. I tried to gargle it out last few days with no help.

I used to get them all the time. Just push them out gently with the end of a toothbrush or something. Yes they're annoying but don't let them ruin your day.

simon can you specifically tell me the steps. Do you always see them? How do you push them with a toothbrush?

Seriously man, I just told you. There is only one step. You just push or scrape them off. I like to use a cotton bud. What don't you understand, look in the mirror then put the stick in your mouth, then push them, then cough them out.

Start using mouthwash after meals.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Okay i tried it over and over. No success. I tried using cotton swab, my finger and i still can't get it out. I am the kind of person that cannot open my mouth real wide to get it out.

I have gargled a lot the last 3 days and still can't get these tonsil stones out.

Do you know if a doctor can do this for you... take a cotton swab or anything and take it out for you?

Hahaha, warrior dude...you sound like you are experiencing an acute OCD episode. Just forget about the damn tonsil stone and go about your life. It'll fall out in time. Forget about it. When I have them they are a pain but life is the same, nothing really changes...just some stupid foreign particle in my throat..whatever. I don't give it a second thought.

Do you know if a doctor can just take it out for you using cotton swab/toothbrush method? I cannot do it myself.

Just ask your mommy to do it for you. A doctor isn't going to be any better at poking things.

Okay i just went to the doctor today. I told him about it and said it was Tonstil stones. He told me it wasn't b/c it was stuck in my throat and NOT in my tonsils. He then referred me to a ENT specifialist.

When i went there, they used the microscope and put it down my nose and into my throat. They tell me they see nothing.

Doe anyone know whats going on here? I mean the reason I am mad is b/c this stuff is stuck in my throat and i feel it every second. When i actually gargled it out the prevous 9 times ... it looked exactly like a tonsil stone and smelled horrible.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
