I don't come around here too much these days due to some philosophical differences I have with the community but I figured I'd check back in to share a recent experience. I know a lot of you struggle with social anxiety and depression (which is really hurting your chances with women) and I too have lived with these things for years. But, things are changing.

For the past 4 days, and the first time since young childhood, I don't get nervous in social situations. I don't work myself up and worry over the smallest details in my day to day social interactions, even in those with women I'm attracted to. I don't feel down about life all the time. I'm genuinely stable and feel like a normal person for the first time ever as an adult.

What's changed? What's got me so suddenly different?

Well, I've been taking doses of CBD every day. For those of you who don't know, CBD is a non-psychoactive component ( it doesn't get you high) of marijuana. I've never wanted to take traditional depression/anxiety meds like Xanax because of their negative side effects, but CBD has next to no negative side effects at all.

For those of you who've been suffering with these issues for years as I have, I really encourage you to give CBD a try if you live somewhere that is legal (Please note that I am no way endorsing the use of illicit substances.)

Take it easy brahs.

Why? You think I have this?
I think you could use something that might chill you out socially, besides booze b/c you said it takes six or so beers to get you to talk/try to be social, and then you are angry.

And I don't think you need to go anywhere near street drugs, ever again. In fact, now that I think about it, I assumed this was natural, a herbal supplement. If it isn't, stay away from it .

You assumed what was natural and herbal?

No no no you're getting this all wrong. CBD does not give you any sort of high feeling at all.

And that's exactly what it is
Yes, it is. Unfortunately most people don't live in a place where they can get clean dope and/or be medically guided and supervised while they use it.

It's a derivative of cannabis, right?
I'm sure taken in appropriate doses it will remove the edge without being noticeable. Unfortunately the country is all about big pharma instead of what mother nature gave us

It is a derative yes. But you could take as much as you wanted and it wouldn't make you "feel" anything. It's more about what you don't feel.

The component of marijuana that gets you high is the THC, not the CBD

I also have some anxiety. To somehow deal with it, I work out a lot to angry music. Just try to transform that negative energy into something productive. Believe it or not it makes an anormous difference. Also I started taking anti-anxiety pills (supplied by CanadaDrugs) due to very bad panic attacks and depression. Those two methods are absolutely effective for reducing my anxiety in tough situations. Not to overpay, I order my pills online .

What's your current status ?

I have ADHD and take Vyvense... It increase my stress and anxiety but allows me to get my work done (and I've actually never felt better overall in life.. Except: i dont have these épisodes of non stop talking, stress, anxiety burst... All manageable but annoying)

My new family doctor after 2 minutes talk told me i should mix quit Vyvense.

She wants me to replace it with: a mix of
Adderal (adhd Drugs) with Xanax (antianxiety)

My friend committed suicide after stopping Xanax. And Xanax is among the "oploid" crisis Drugs. Anyway, it increase your issues and dependency due to severage when off it "in a wrong way" (the wrong way is stopping in 1 shot. The good way:you decrease dosage to stop)

I do have massive stress.. And performance anxiety (but i never had burst or crisis)

My doctor also recommended Behavioural Therapy.

My GF is a nurse at a neuro specialist hospital: she doesnt think Xanax would be good to mix with adderal however she support Behavioural Therapy.

Like most people with adhd, I have "bad thoughts once in a while" and an increase in anxiety/stress (especially when on adhd pill).

The Doctor said: since i am 30 years old, i can manage.. But overtime.. It will get worse (the stress, anxiety, adhd Drugs effects) due to the body/mind exhaustion (and age).

To BoySam: i am in Canada too. Avoid ordering them online. A pharmacist/doctor might be more helpful and aid with dosage. Also, they are covered by your health insurance

It is not a derivitive. But you could take as much as you wanted and it wouldn't make you "feel" anything. It's more about what you don't feel.

It isn't derived. It is an active component naturally occurring in the plant. More and more breeders are cross breeding cultivars to adjust the THC/CBD production ratios (plants can produce high amounts of one but not both), but these are not the only important compounds the plant produces. They are the most well known and CBD is considered the more medicinally valuable (although THC has its value also and frankly synthetic formulations have been available in an oral pill form for decades as an appetite stimulant.)

I've worked with CBD and other cannabinoids in the course of my career. In the US they are still considered Class 1 drugs per DEA and so research with them requires much more red tape and regulatory oversight than with opiates or other types of controlled compounds. If you look around the web and explore the various sorts of research that are going on around the world about cannabinoid class compounds you'll find many interesting things, probably the most compelling is the treatment of severe childhood epilepsy. There are scientifically rigorous clinical trials going on in that field at present which show great promise for the kids who suffer with that condition. The CBD essentially calms the overactive electrical storms that feature in epilepsy. CBD also is a well known anxiolytic, as the OP has noted. CBD does not produce the "high". That is THC.

It should be noted that exposure of a young brain to cannabinoids can have ill effects. People in the scientific community warn against exposure in people younger than 25 years of age because the brain is still maturing and the ability of cannabinoid compounds to alter the way the brain chemistry functions have been noted, and the changes are sometimes disadvantageous. I have spoken about these risks very frankly with my children and I think people need to be better informed about potential risks that accompany the benefits. It is a psychoactive plant and much remains unknown in well controlled scientific studies. So keep in mind it is not a panacea and it is best utilized responsibly.

I use CBD oil to deal with anxiety. Generally positive, especially for nighttime anxiety and trouble sleeping. It controls my breathing, and relaxes my body, the anxiety almost automatically starts to vanish.
