"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I need some advice. This is the wierdest thing. I have had oneitis for the past 6 months until 2 months ago. I am totally over this girl. Even when I had oneitis for her I still wouldn't have touched her with a ten foot pole. I broke up with her because of personal problems she was having.

After I broke up with her she went and dated a person that I knew. Not a good friend but someone that I work with. I thought this was disrespectful of him and her. She called me and I never returned none of her phone calls since then.

The bottom line is this there is going to be a work party and my coworker is going to be there with my ex girl. I want to go but, don't want to go because I don't want to see that bvtch. I just hate her guts. I really don't give a fvck about him. although at the time this went down I caught him at a bar and challenged him to a streetfight on the spot. Which he declined. I know it was stupid and immature of me but I let my emotions get the best of me. (Big time AFC move)

My question is should I go or not go to this work party???????????????

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

She owes you nothing and you owe her nothing!!! What do you fear? Do you fear that she will have dudes crawling on her and you will be left stranded and thus your pride would be hurt?

It's your work party -- why not go!!

No, I don't fear that but I am still kind of pissed of about the situation. Everyone at work knew about us, and then she is with this guy. I feel kind of awkard. Plus this is going to be at a house. It's not like a bar or a club where I could walk away.

But then again if u think about it this girl svcked and fvcked me in every way, So I rather be in my shoes then in his shoes considering he wants to marry her.

Even though I was an AFC for wanting to fight the guy, I come from a tough past, I have been in many street fights and I still can't believe this guy had the balls to do that. WHich really hurt my ego. He is so lucky that I am 30 and more mature now. If this happened when I was 24 it would have been the worst mistake in this guys life.

LMS- I know we have been beefing lately but thanks for the advice.

Haha, to be honest with you during our "beefing" I actually enjoyed it and had a good laugh - you guys give me a reason to live!

You are the typical male - why take it out on the dude? Isn't he merely following his masculine nature by pursuing a woman? What has he done to you? Nothing?

Why even fight over a hor? You were merely just the next pimp in line!!!

This is why it is not always a good idea to be screwing women at work - because shyt becomes awkward and dangerous once it is revealed!!!!

If you don't show to the party then people are going to be thinking that it is because of the ill feelings with the girl! So you chumped out!!!

Go the party to show that there are no ill feelings and that you are the better man!!!

****t I guess go? really that is actually a tough call. if you go just ignore those dumb fuks and try to have fun.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

The OP is VERY AFC, and not very DJ.

1. You aren't over her/him/it/the situation. It still rules your thoughts and feelings.
2. It is ok to be pissed, it is not ok for it to prevent you to go to the party.
3. You are acting out of FEAR. You fear how people will react/think of you.

The DJ that you (and all of us) want to become would say, think and BELIEVE, that what was done is done, and I am not going to wade thru' that sh it again. I'm going to go to that party with my head held high, be pleasant, ****y and funny and *BE* the person that I want to be. If it gets hairy for ANY reason, I will be cool as a cucumber in the arctic, and if necessary will remove myself from the situation.
I will not get angry, snippy, whiny, *****y, cry, or yell.
I will be a gentleman, I will act with class, I WILL be the person that I want to be.

I'd suggest *not* going to the party.

You challenged the other guy to a street fight? Sorry but that isn't something that one does when they are over a chick. You clearly aren't ready yet.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

If you have a hot female friend, call her and tell her to accompany you to the party. If she is hotter than your ex, she'll be jealouse. Then when you get to the party, shake everybody's hand, including your ex's boyfriend. If you don't have any female friend, still go to the party if you want. Shake the dude's hand. Talk to him brienfly and to chat with more mature people in your league.

Your right the way I acted I was AFC. But the funny thing is I don't even give a fvck about this girl. Like I said I wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole.

It is an ego thing no girl ever fvcked me over except this bvitch. She is not even that hot she is an HB 7. So I was an AFC.

As far as saying sorry 2 this guy fvck that. I will not lose my cool.

Go. Dont try and make your ex jealous, you will end up looking petty. Apologize to the other guy for challenging him to a fight, because that was petty, and apologizing will make you look a lot bigger-a sincere apology is one of the most difficult things to do when you have done something wrong.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
