"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

A brief background of me.

I used to be a complete AFC, the very definition of AFC actually. However, I've been through two online reading changes, and some other changes in life that have shaped me into a much better person, all of this happening in the past four or five months (don't remember perfectly).

My first change was stumbling upon sosuave.net. This was possibly one of the best websites I have ever found on the internet (along with acne.org, athleteforums.com, and other junk like youtube). This website was a complete eye opener to the real world and how it works (specifically, women).

Thanks to sosuave, I have changed the way I think tremendosly, of how I stand with women, well you get what I mean if you read enough around here. However, what really hit home was what lead to my second change, Tucker Max.

Although sosuave has taught me well of how my mindset should be, I didn't really get it through my head that hot girls are not actually better than me (i'm sure many of you will lie to yourself, but you're probably the same). Tucker Max drove home the point: there is no woman that is too good for you.

Just give a spin around his website, at the very least you'll get many good laughs. Hopefully, if you still put women on pedestals, this might be your breakpoint!

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I want to second Kev07. Within the past few months or so, I have come to the same realization. I just regret that I hadn't seen something like this years ago. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation and unneccessary emotional stress.

Anyway, I somehow stumbled into sosuave and my thinking has changed tremendously. I am reasonably successful relatively speaking, nice home, cars, kids, wife, blah, blah. But there was something missing. It was accepting me as the primary focus in my life. This is not to say I should not focus on family, however, I sacrified and deferred so much of my own personal goals and happiness for everyone else. I had put everything else first until about a two months ago.

I will begin to work on me, the personal goals, the hobbies, the friends, the life outside the four walls of my home. The crazy part about all of this, is my other half has been saying all these things to me for years. I was simply completely oblivious to it all thinking that I was doing the right thing by being completely selfless and dutiful. What she wants is a man that's interesting, involved, active, with a sense of direction. It all began to make sense after reading the Book of Pook. From there I realized everything I had done was on the basis on putting some girl on a pedestal. A LTR even said so years ago. "You're putting me on a pedestal." Of course my upbringing (without a male figure), suggested that I manuevere in certain ways. Flowers, calling, etc., etc.

Looking back I was pretty pathetic, and somehow I got plenty of girls and eventually married. Luckily I found the right person who did not take complete advantage of this. Anyway, I am not trying to date a whole bunch of women, but I am certainly ticked on the missed opportunities. I had women without trying in most cases. They came to me, and I simply did not finish.

Anyway, I feel better that there is a place like this to begin the rehabilitation process. I am not in the situation that some of these young men find themselves in, but I have been there. Sometimes it takes a while to get the AFC out of you. Especially if you don't even know it. I finally found the light, eventually they will also.
