"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

So I went to a club this weekend and I I tried dancing but my friends started asking me if i've ever danced before, it was that bad. So we're going next weekend again this time with a girl i like so im determined to learn some basic stuff at least. So do you guys have any tips on dancing. Thanx a lot.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

hey man,
what makes a good dancer stand out from an average dancer isn't so much what he is doing with his feet, but with his hips.
if you are able to move you hips, you could have your feet planted and going nowhere and it would still look alright.
try to loosen up whatever you do. i see heaps of guys stiff as, and they look like clowns.
ps try to stay away from outrageous hand movements. you want people looking at your body, not your arms.
pss, once you get the beat of the music, try one movement per beat. more than that and you'll look spastic.
hope this helps.
pm me if you want a clearer explanation/more info

look in the yellow pages (or whatever you have) and look for dance studios.
im not sure about prices but im sure that after a 10 week block of lessons you will be a lot more fluid and coordinated than you currently are.
if you cant feel the rhythm, stick to the side of the floor until you do, everyone can spot those with no sense of timing

I have been told I am the best dancer a girl ever danced with before. However I cant break dance, I cant solo very well. All I do is keep my feet somewhat planted and move my hips, rythmically and smoothly, and have my arms moving just enough to keep a flow.

Ingredients to being a great dancer:
Feet almost completely planted
Lots of hip movement(by lots I dont mean fast, has to keep with the beat, but you can move them in a wide range)
Bend your knees, not a lot, but think of a free throw
Dont fail your arms, keep them pretty centrally located and they should counter your hips, use them as if you were on a tightrope almost and as you moved your hips they helped you keep balance, but keep them pretty close to your sides.

Watch the part in Hitch were Will Smith teaches him how to dance, do that and you will be as good as about 85-90% of the guys out there.

After you are good at that, then you can open up a little bit more, A LITTLE BIT, as in move your hips a little more, and grinding and lead her, hend up bending your knees more and going low and lead your hips rythmically.

Most importantly is be smooth, Women relate dancing to sex for a good reason, flowing rythmic hips work well in sex as well as dancing.

Dont think good dancers are breakdancers and such and solo style dancing is the way to go. Basically completely avoid the movie "You got Served". These guys were excellant dancer but in a much different style. They are so far diametrically opposed that all I can say is that Solo dancing in a dance off type atmosphere and dancing with a girl are completely different. The only thing they have in common is the beat and rythem.

Without Rythem you have nothing.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Dancing was the one thing I learned before being a DJ I thought that was the way to get women...it did get them to come over...and they love it...but I had no clue what to say...lets just say it has changed....here are a few tips to try....

MY DANCING TIPS
follow a beat pattern to the song your listening to..or better put...step to the basss of the music...start basic side to side steps when you get comfortable. with the side to side mix it up and..step front and back same way as the side to side.. but dont be stiff....here turn on the radio...ok...hear the basss and move side to side with it sway the hips a little bit on each move..on faster songs skip a couple of beats..and move on every 3rd and 4th makes it look slow motion...work on that for a while..I use to be a club DJ (disc jocky) so I used beat patterns and moved my body to them....NOW...I add game to my dancing...and its GOLDEN, women love it...but it took a while to learn practice hard and if you need more tips let me knowMY DANCING TIPS

coolguy is right on the money.
well done coolguy.
another movie is "Be Cool" where travolta dances with thurman. don't worry about the beginning, where they are dancing as partners. concentrate when they split off. look at travolta, particularly his hip movements. he is using little to no foot movement - more shifting his weight, yet he is moving very fluidly due to his relaxed posture and free hips. if that makes sense.
yeah - make sure you have the right rythm in your head, otherwise no matter how smoothly your moving, your dancing as a whole will be terrible.

A dancing thread, my favorite!

n00bPimp:

Don't sweat it, dancing isn't all that.
Sure if you rarely danced before, you won't feel comfortable. It's like a lot of things, practice makes you better. And trust me, most people, even after years of clubbing experience, are lousy dancers.

However, all men are NOT equal, some people are just more gifted and they actually love to dance, they have fun dancing, it's NOT just a sleazy way to touch the chicks. You need to dance to the beat and get into the music.

Personally the first time I ever dance at a party, I was almost 21, I had so much pressure on me that I was asking myself "damn, what other movement can I do instead of just bouncing left and right".
Throughout the years, I learned very different styles almost by just dancing at different kinds of parties and clubs. Now I just turned 26, wherever I go, I'm almost always the best dancer on the spot.

I would just start on the floor like an "average good dancer", then pull some breakdance tricks to impress the crowd. Then I proceed to charm the ladies with the basic ballroom dancing moves if the music is right(salsa for example) and then move to sensual grinding.

For you, some quick advice:
1) Dance to the beat, if you don't have the rythm, you would look like a fool
2) Try to learn from the good dancers, observe what nice moves they are doing, immitate, assimilate and innovate. This way you will learn newmoves and tricks on a regular basis.
3) When dancing (especially with girls), don't always repeat the same thing. Monotony is BORING! Just like many people have said here, dancing is a lot like haing sex. So use your imagination!

Thanks and that is another good tip and a good movie idea, I hadnt thought of that movie.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You need a good pimp'n intro to dancing son!

Your not going to get any dames nor b!tches learning how to dance at home. Why you think they gots the videos on the internet of people "caught" dancing?

Go to a LOUD club, when your friends aren't looking, pull some freak moves;)

Just imagine how stupid you look doing them, yeah....

Than stop! No girls going to enjoy the freak dance unless you WANT to make her laugh;)

"2) Try to learn from the good dancers, observe what nice moves they are doing, immitate, assimilate and innovate. This way you will learn newmoves and tricks on a regular basis."

Look at other people dancing, if there's any girls dancing with a guy, copy him from a distance. Dance off's are usually a funny and fun way to learn, nobody's going to laugh at you, only with you.

Good luck, don't chicken out.
