"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So, this is something that is preached by Buddhists monks, but I have come to find out that many high profile pua's also speak about this, and being in this "moment" when in the company of a woman. I think that I am trying to be "in the moment" most of the time, but I wan to know if there are those of you that have truly "mastered" this art form. I understand it is near impossible according to Buddhist philosophy, but any tips on getting as close as possible would be appreciated. I know that I worry far less then most people, and in comparison to them I am much more closer to being in the moment. However I know I am still a ways off because some things do pop up that causes me to worry and can't seem to overcome until it is dealt with.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

constant questioning. 'where is your focus right now?'

at any given moment you will find yourself lost in a daydream as you are caught up in petty trivialities. this question will bring you out of the dream that we make for ourselves every day.

it is a full-time job and takes years of practice and education and self-understanding. hence why the bible says you cannot serve God and Mammon. it's one or the other. we live in a culture that has chosen and worships the other. which makes us a culture of devil-worshippers. and we don't even know it.

Bravo.

Devil = ego, the false image of a self separate from others.

Breathing is one of the easiest methods, since it is basically involuntary. Focus and listen to the breath and be still, let the thoughts come and dont attach to them. Gradually the thinking will subside when you stop fueling the fire so to speak, what is "left" is called presence, awareness, god, buddha, etc., a beautiful calm, aliveness. Check out eckhart tolle channel on youtube.

Have you heard about this concept of Ichigo Ichie?

It's kind of the reverse of what we normally do; usually, we pass by people and don't really pay much attention to what they're wearing or their expression, etc. We can't see the tree for the forest (that is, the forest in our mind - so preoccupied with our daily tasks and thinking about the future, we miss the details).

Really pay attention to people - look at them. "The meeting of one another is only that one instance. Look closely, listen closely, and you will know their heart. This moment is only present this moment, only in this place and only at this time, so we must treasure it." That is the principle of Ichigo Ichie (japanese, "one time, one meeting", based in the tea ceremony, but applicable to all aspects of life). Got it from a book by Nishimori Hiroyuki. It's a pretty awesome concept :D

Just my two cents

Focus on your breath. Mind and breath are connected. Calmer breath = calmer mind, disturbed mind = disturbed breathing and vice versa. Enjoy :)

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Nahh... actually it is not. Have an open mind. Some of the most intelligent and happy people that I have ever met in this world strive for this mindset. So there has to be something to it. It is one of the toughest things to do, from what I understand, it is next to impossible to become enlightened for a long period of time. Typically I understand that it can be glimpsed for moments at a time, then it escapes.

You got it wrong.. You gotta seek women who are CRAZY about YOU! Forget about trying impress and boost their "interests", she has to like you for who you are. You need to be screening her, ask yourself; Is she fun, good looking, is she a psycho or have a bad past?.. ect. Why chase after women who will end up hurting you in the end? You gotta pick and choose Don Juan!!

It's the animal who does not live in the moment. instead they are like automatons who live according to their lusts and desires.

pain and suffering is a result of desire.

living in the moment is freedom from desire.

seeing the world as it is rather than how you think it should be.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

RSD heavily pushes this being in the moment business, Tyler says it is very attractive to women, for a guy to be fully present in the moment. He is heavily influenced by Eastern religion, specifically meditation and Eckhart Tolle's "Buddhism for the masses" stuff.

I can't say I buy into it completely, but some of it is useful. If you think about it, it's kind of like the past and present doesn't exist, there is always only the now. One thing it does is reduce stress because you're only dealing with what's going on now as opposed to worrying about stuff in the future.

I agree, but that is because OP didn't say it right.

You don't want to "live in the moment" as the dumb b's like to say.

You want to be focused on the present.

OP mentioned Buddhism, well there is this quote:

“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.”

AFAIK, fear stems from having a lack of control and relying on something or someone. Gain control, gain control of your thoughts, your actions, your emotions and build yourself up till you are able to rely on yourself alone.

The past is to be learnt from (not re experienced), whilst the future is dependent on the present...so why would your mind be somewhere else?

First off, it's hard. It is NOT impossible though, I have landed myself there sometimes. You have to be acutely aware of what your mind is doing, because it happens that we respond emotionally to imaginary things just as well as real things. Being in the moment is to either not react at all to anything on your mind or preferably blank your mind entirely. The result is that you respond directly to what's right in front of you with emotion instead of thoughts. In other words, shorten your attention span to your immediate situation.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
