They created 2 profiles, one for an attractive female, and one for an attractive male. Both swiped 1000 times. Here were the results.

On the one hand, this isn't surprising because men are the aggressors/initiaters by nature.

On the other hand, we've been told OLD is all about looks. Attractive men are somewhat rare, so it's a little surprising that a good looking guy wouldn't do better. I guess the lesson is that women will always have more options.

You know, looking at that guy's picture, he might look a little bit too much like a "pretty boy", whereas women might want more of a rugged loom. He kind of looks like he might be a male model who is bisexual. Girls can get suspicious if a guy is too good looking, it's not natural.

A 22 year old man is still wet behind the ears to many women.

Using male of the same age as female skewed the results.

It's not about how old. It's about the value equation.

22 year old women will get hit on by men 18-70 years of age (or whatever maximum parameter Tinder allows.)

22 year old men are not going to appeal to women much older than 22. A hot 40 year old man has a much wider appeal and would get hit on by women 18-50 something.

So that's a simple explanation for the results shown regarding the guy.

I agree a man's physical prime is probably mid 20s. But we're talking SMV here, and guys that age with the experience, wisdom, and maturity of an older male are exceedingly rare, if they even exist. Besides, women appreciate a little bit of an edge that age gives a man.

I think Bigneil posted a graph showing a man's SMV peaking in his mid 30s, and that sounds about right to me. Women won't take a boy when they can get a man.

Every guy's "type" is young and hot. So of course the young hot woman will get more matches. You also have to factor in that women don't "swipe blind" like men do. They usually take a good look at a guy's pics and profile bio before swiping.

Let's say a woman in her prime is 24. Statistically, women tend to prefer a man about four years older than she is, so that would be 28. So yeah, 20s.

But it's more about value than age, IMO. If the 40 year old is higher value than the 28 year old, the girl may very well go for the value. As I've said before, girls tend to deny that they would date a guy significantly older, but when they encounter a high value older man in reality most will quickly change their mind.

Lucky this is a site for men, and not Loveshack. I'd say CC is being authentic because almost any man here would do the same. CC has the gonads to be authentic in his intent and delivery.
