"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

White knights who submit to feminists will be rewarded with sex, says Time
In an article entitled More Sex – and 7 Other Benefits to Men Who Help Out at Home, Time’s feminist contributor Jessica Bennett suggests that women are turned on by the “chore play” of “male feminists” and will reward them with more sex.

“Women are turned on by the idea of a man with his elbows up to the suds,” she claimed. “Sure, maybe they have a Mr. Clean fetish or maybe they’re just freaking exhausted, [but] not having to do the dishes for one night might put her in the mood.”

And such a home – and sex – life will “breed feminist sons,” Bennett added.

What yall think....

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I think Time is "turned on" by advertising revenues generated by peddling "empowerment tripe" to a mostly female, LW readership.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

If you think that 'helping out at home' makes you a 'beta male', you know nothing much.

You are trying to live a meme from the 1950s - little wifey in the kitchen where she belongs, barefoot & pregnant.

Enjoy your permanent singledom.

You can always find a study to prove something. For example:

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/men-who-do-housework-have-less-sex/

You need to go off what you've found to be accurate in your own life.

Personally I've found when I clean up I clean up if you know what I mean. This might not work for everyone however. And it might not work all the time. But when I clean up after myself I tend to get loving that night.

Use to think a few years back that Scandanavia was a progressive place. I don't take that view anymore.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Whether it's true or not is not the point.

I just loath the whole feminist idea of women REWARDING men with sex or as the flip side, withholding sex as a punishment.

If sex is considered a reward for good behavior akin to giving a dog a treat because he follows her commands, then please cut my dik off and donate it to science. I won't want it anymore lol.

Comedian Rachael Feinstein has a hilarious bit making fun of feminine men:

I for one as a feminist man, understand that the male erection can be quite intimidating, so we're not going to have one here, ok? I'm just going to fold it in half and stick it in that way. Are we doing ok? How about some soup? Would you like some soup?

This.

Ive learned that a woman definitely appreciates and values a man who rocks her world in the bedroom, but also act like a real partner outside of it. I dont see things as "woman's work" or "man's work". Work is work.

Ive been appreciated for cleaning dishes, cooking, vacuuming, fixing computers, checking over cars, and doing little fixit jobs around the house. Helping out is helping out.

^^ THIS... It should be a red flag to any guy who reads and questions the true motive behind these articles...

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

There is nothing wrong with helping out. Men should help out.

I'm sure you just do it to be helpful.

What is sad is the guy who doesn't normally clean and then does it to "motivate" his wife/gf to put out.

Or the gf/wifey who decides to "reward" her helper guy with sex. That's also sad and wrong.

Come on bro, of course she is going to say that. She author of the article is a FEMINIST.

Who said men want sex that bad?
Who said men want feminist sons?
Who said men aren't doing women the favour by having sex with them?
Who said the men aren't freaking exhausted?

The article has way too many assumptions. Women get just as turned on by "rich" and "powerful" men that other women want. The article should have said:

More Sex—and 7 Other Benefits for Men Who Help Out at Home. And Even More Sex - the 7 Other Benefits for Men who are rich, powerful, and bring home lots cash.

Always have to look at both sides of the issue.

It DEPENDS on the wife. IF she's working as many hours as I AM.... I'll help out. I have to do it anyway being single....

BUT if I'm working 45 and she's working 20? Yeah, guess what your second job is "honey"

that's not what the article says lol.

If I got a wife that works 40 hours a week yeah she probably isn't gonna want to come home and cook dinner, clean up the house, wash dishes, fold clothes, clean the bathroom, etc every damn day. that's pretty much common ****ing sense. If she does do it, guess what, she's probably not gonna be putting out because she's ****ing tired lol. ****, I do that and I'M tired lol.

I think you trying to frame the arguement as cleaning up= BETA male is dead wrong

I also think the Time article trying to say that a man who cleans up should be rewarded with sex = dead wrong

if you split child rearing/caring responsibilities, split bills, both work full time, i dont' think it's that much to ask to split household responsibility as well. But you shouldnt do it because you want "sex" you should do it becuase that's now normal well adjusted adults act in a normal well adjusted relationship

my wife and i have a unique / odd situation / understanding in this regard. she doesn't work. As far as our holdhouse chores are broken down I let her handle 2 things

1. cooking. she cooks.. probably 90% of the meals. I might cook once every 2 weeks when i feel like to or she's dead tired or gone or when i feel like grilling

2. child caring. Getting our son up on the morning, to school, from school, homework, feeding him, getting him to bed, making sure he isn't burning down the house and **** lol, that's 100% on her. i'm too busy in the day time and doing such cuts out of my bottom line. with that said when my son wants me im' there. the few times she goes out of town without me which is not often but it happens i do this as well.

everything else, cleaning up, folding clothes, watching dishes, mowing the yard, taking out the trash, I do all this myself. Not because she won't.. actually i somewhat enjoy cleaning up and don't mind doing it, plus i'm 10x cleaner than she'll ever be. If she cleaned up i'd just go behind her and do it again anyway lol so I just do it myself. i mop everyday. I scrub the cabinets with bleach + laundry detergent (gives it that clean hospital smell) daily. I wash dishes as soon as they are used.. though that's one thing i will get on her don't leave dirty ass dishes in the sink i can't stand that. but after she cooks i'll wash dishes.

my wife likes to have sex. alot. a LOT lol. pretty much whenever i want it it's whatever let's go. But part of that is, she's never really tired. I work, i work out, i play with our son, i clean up the house, about half the time if not a little more than that she wants it i'm like babe i need a raincheck i'm out of it. Even then...lol.. use your imagination lol. But my point being i can see what the article is trying to say. A woman who is not as tired is gonna be more likely to want sexy time tha na woman who is beat the **** down all the time and that's 100% true from mye xperience.

the days that she does have to handle a load, like the days that andre is over here my little brother from big brothers and big sisters or we have a party and she has to help me clean up or she has whatever to do and she's beat she is exhausted and goes dead to sleep

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
