Threads closing because of assh0les

If I ever want to close a thread that is valid and interesting, all I have to do is post some racist scumbag remark that has no bearing on the thread topic whatsoever and spoiling it for everyone else.

Surely the person who has posted the sh1t should be closed down, not the thread.

I suggested deleting inappropiate posts instead of closing down the entire thread, I think it was Vincent who said that deleting a post is 'hard work' and that closing threads would be better. He attempted to validate his retort by telling me that I've never been a moderator, so I wouldn't know, which is untrue.

Guys, first off I agree with what is being said. If a thread is legit, then any off-topic racist remarks and/or comments by someone else are generally deleted. I'm not sure about the thread(s) you're referring to... in fact, I've looked over the past 4 closed threads and couldn't find any that fit that description, but if you have an issue that you feel needs to be addressed feel free to contact any of the moderators of that section of the forum. An explanation as to why it was closed will be sent back and hopefully a resolution can accomplished. If you have a legitimate concern about a moderator, feel free to post it in the S&F section. Bear in mind that due to the current climate, random baseless hate threads are being looked over very critically. Anyway, that wraps it up for tonight. Cya.
