"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hey Lads,

I had an interesting experience today. After work some friends and I got some ****tails.

Imagine a stereotypical LGBTQIA+VOTNGNBOTNBI nonsense person. That's my coworker. Me and the boys are just joking around about any dumb ****.

The words "retard", "crazy" "bitches" etc come up in those jokes. At every point she proceeds to say you can't/shouldn't say that.

After a few times it dawns on me that she really has no philosophical ground to stand on.

So I ask - " Let me ask you. What do you think gives you the ability to determine what specific speech I can or can not use?"

her response is essentially - it makes me/other people feel bad.

My answer - " So what. Either I censor my speech to attempt to pander to what i think your feelings are. OR I just speak the way I speak and maybe you get offended and have to deal with it like a ****ing adult like the rest of us?"

at which point she just keeps quiet.

I'm curious what you guys think? How do you resolve the tension between being empathetic to others feelings and beliefs but wanting to say things that may or may not be offensive?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You didn't say anything extreme in my opinion. If that's the vocabulary you use when you're having a good time with friends, why change it? Surely not for a butthurt b*tch.

While agree with the OP in principle, I would still be careful because this person is a coworker.

If you are out with ONLY your buddies, you can say whatever you want.
I've had this happen to me with men and women that I thought were cool. They got offended out of nowhere and I was left standing there like an assh0le. I wasn't expecting their hurt feelings, and they always blindside you when it comes to their hurt feelings.

I don't like people that are overly emotional. If a person is overly emotional around me, I basically begin to cut them out of my life.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Anti-PC people are just as snowflakey as SJWs when they face sh!t for what they say. They should just deal with the comments like an adult.

Also I don't say "retard." It's just stupid...isn't that better?

Although I choose not to use words such as "chick" "bytch" "retard" etc... it's a personal choice.
If someone else chooses to use the above words, go for it. That's your personal choice too.

I don't care for the whole "PC" attitude and that's because they tend to 'guilt' people who think differently.

If someone is born a certain way, I tend to practice politeness.
On the other hand if someone chooses to be a certain way I call it as I see it... ie; over eating = fat (and not "heavy set") or if you have a pecker and want to identify as a woman, you're still a dude.

Not true. You would have a difficult time getting me triggered in real life. Yet I had some lady bark at me earlier for going the wrong way down a grocery lane

OP, the question at hand is wrong.

People you work with tend to be btches, especially in the U.S., I worked there. But really, anywhere else as well. Some folks you click with, it could be your managers and same level workers and even your boss, so long as they are male. Other people you don't click with, usually women and male btches and f@gs or f@g likes. You're a f@ggot if you put yourself above the rest, it's called seeing other people's sht and not smelling your own. This train is common among women and some feminine men.

Thus, it's best to talk to your colleagues at arm's length, professionally. They are an entire different social circle.

There are a ton of examples in political news about men who conducted themselves wrong long time ago and now it hunts them.

The WORST words I use at work are “damn“ and “BS” (the letters said like that not the real words). Especially in this day and age it’s just too dangerous at work when you have so many workplaces that automatically take the side of the snowflake and/or the woman in any kind of dispute against a masculine man. That being said, Outside of work my language gets much worse.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

These are the same b1tches that can just leave anytime they want rather than forcing you to be a certain way. No one is holding them captive.

Same for the b1tches that stayed at Louis CK's hotel room while he dropped his pants. The door was unlocked and they could've left on their free will.

Obviously anything to do with work isn't worth it and you're better off playing it safe as it's way too easy to lose your job over it. Just don't invite her next time.

I just watched my aunt post a picture of an image that said "Why be racist, homophobic, mysoginist or tranphobic when you could just shut up"

I have never fought so hard to not comment "F*CK YOU!".

Just shut your mouth and tow the propaganda line is about as bad as it can get and reminds me of reading The Gulag Archipelago. This whole political correctness thing is nothing but a form of control. They are even saying 2+2 = 5 at this point. Because it's a cultural thing instead of being true. Orwell made a specific point of this in 1984 with that exact same language.

F*CK THIS. You should say whatever you want and stand up for your right to say it. Anyone who stays quiet and shuts their mouth is a part of the problem.

I mean obviously im probably not being 100% in transcribing the conversation but the gist is there.

Just interesting to me that some people cannot see the paradox between freedom of speech and offensiveness. In order for freedom of speech to actually be meaningful there is always a risk that someone will be offended by whats said no matter how minor.

Cheers for the feedback!

Use the words you want. But beware of how they're received. If it doesn't bother you, that's fine.
Kind of misses the point with all due respect.

You need freedom of speech in order to be offended about freedom of speech being applied.

My feelings are really irrelevant. The principle is way more important.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I don't want to straw man your argument but are you advocating for kowtowing to the pressures of cancel culture?

In other words are you saying that if someone says something obviously wrong to your face you should just ignore them?

This guy gets it lol.

Where is the line? sure you gotta be realistic and not waste your time on eveyr pedantic minor detail of a fight. unless your both philosophers and discussing a topic with pedanticness in mind.

where is the line between censoring yourself and people actually believing 2+2=5 (or in a general case something untrue) because its the right strategy to deal with PC.

I don't tell people what they can and can't say around me, even if other people tries to make stop saying using some words. I will usually just laugh and say they can think like that, but good luck controlling the movement of my lips and vocal chords. If they find single words offensive (regardless of context) I again laugh and jokingly tell them I find it offensive that they're offended by single words.

Basically I mock people who get hung up on trivial stuff that aren't really offensive.

I think your response was excellent.

I agree.

Freedom of speech in the US is a mirage at best. This is one of the few countries where one slip up can cost you your job, sponsorship, friends, relationships. So much has been put on words and increased sensitivity and brainwashed people into assimilation on what is supposed to be right or wrong. Individual opinions have been thrown out or ridiculed if you don't fit into the mainstream. We are all forced to like what the masses want us to like regardless of our personal preferences and comfort levels. We are constantly having stuff shoved down our throats by groups with their own agenda's.

The person with the highest form of true free speech these days is a homeless man as he is able to express everything with nothing to lose. The person with the least is the one that has the most to lose(celebrity, sports player, ceo, etc) with a few exceptions.

Ultimately money controls high ranked/profile individuals in all sectors that disseminate some unified message in assimilating us all to be one way and not individuals with our own opinions. And there is where the hypocrisy lays and the reason why we have all these issues today. In society we have been conditioned to think, act, speak a certain way and anything outside of that will open ourselves up to ridicule, prosecution, etc...

Anothe one is the liberal media blackout about the riots. They don't exist in their world.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
