"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

ok i just recently ask this good friend of mine to go to the prom.....i got the feelings for her and all and i'm pretty sure she feels the same way(i havnt date her yet).....juss today an innocent girl came up to me and ask me out to the prom with her (and remember i already have a date for the prom) while i was with the girl that i just ask out to the prom to go with......me and my date was stunned and we both didnt bring up the part where i already have a date for the prom.....i pause for a couple of second and then i responded "well i have a really tight schedule lately so can i have time to think about it and give you the answer before prom night " and she says ok and walked away.....with that say and done i juss gave my prom a look and say what should i do.....she just responded " its your decision " and walk away with an upset face...

-it would suck if i rejected the innocent girl

-it would also suck if i dont go with my date because i'm pretty in love with her

i know its my decision to make but any advice out there...put yourself in my shoe and what would you do???...it would suck if my current date for the prom goes out with other guys, it will make me jealous for sure....

any help out there would be greatful...thanks

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Watch when you say the word love. You're either deluded, AFC, truly in love, or a combination of the 3. Be very careful with that word :p

Anyway, if you really like this girl, why would you consider anyone else? Just because another opportunity came along, doesn't mean you have to take it.

The answer is pretty simple, who do you want to go with..the girl you have feelings for? or the random innocent chick who wants you?

Pretty easy.

I think you know that was not a good way to treat your prom date; to her, it must have looked like you were keeping your doors open, or that you were embarrassed to say you were going with her. You should tell her that you know you should have told the innocent girl you already had a date but that you didn't want to hurt her feelings, and that was bad of you, but you were thinking too slowly.

Then tell the innocent girl that you had already promised another girl to be her date if she didn't have someone to go with, and now you have just learned that she doesn't have someone to go with so you'll have to keep your word, but otherwise you would have been happy to go with the innocent girl instead.

It is likely your prom date was very offended, rightly, but if you apologize you should be able to save the situation. A little honesty can go a long way.

ok lets for a sceond think that you are in actuality in love with this girl....there shouldn't even be a choice in the matter...if i were you thi sis how I woulda responded to that innocent girl...
"Ohh thanks for asking, but I'm going with ____ <--insert name here, sorry."
That would've done 2 things...made your date VERY happy and turned down the innocent girl very easily so she wouldn't be that sad.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You handled the situation expertly. What you should explain to your "love-date" is that you were trying to avoid the kind of awkward situation that would end up with the girl being embarassed. Just imagine if you said straight out "Sorry, Can't, Going with the girl standing right here." This is much like asking a girl out with her boyfriend sitting right next to her. Defusing the situation with your "love-date" should be your first priority if you are really that interested in her.
