"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Forgive me for this stupid sounding statement, but

All you guys seem to care about is Girls!

I understand that this is a forum for meeting, attracting and seducing women, but...it's so sad when I read some of the posts here.

Don't get me wrong, I love girls too, and one Girl in particlar I love a lot. But the amount of time, effort and energy you guys spend on this subject is nothing short of astonishing! It seems like you guys spend more time trying to "defeat" women instead of truly Loving them.

I wish I can put to words the feelings I have right now...I guess the only thing I can offer you guys is this:

"Recieving Love is much much MUCH less gratifying than GIVING Love."

or

"Love- one of the few things where giving is better than recieving!" :cheer:

So, what is this "Love" that I speak of? I'm afraid I can't help you with that. It's something we must all find out for ourselves. This is the closest I've got to translating "love" into English: "The Desire to truly wish another persons to be Happy."

But that is only a small part of it. Describing "Love" is like describing "red" to a blind man- it can't be done.

I sincerely wish you guys will leave this place soon and go out into the world. There is so much more out there. Coercing people to love you is in my opinion, the whole point of this place. How sad. Instead, try for 2 days to simply not care whether other people like you or not, and just share with them your love. I get a feeling that you'll like this simple shift in thinking. G'luck!

p.s. for a better example of what I'm talking about, check out "The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Mandino. Don't let the title fool you- it has little to do with sales. It's changed my Life, and I've only gotten it a month or two ago!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

A lot of your "arguement" is based around the concept of love. Take a look at the most established people on this board, and in particular the people who are successful with girls, there is a pattern you will notice..

They don't abuse the word love. Nor do they devote every resource they have to finding it, or being fooled into thinking they have found it. I'm not questioning what you have, sounds like you're quite smitten with whatever girl you're with, but it's not for everyone is it?

I'm here to better myself. I don't want to lead my life down a path of finding love, nor do I want to sleep around for my remaining years being unfulfilled. I'm here to build confidence and character, and if women come down my path, then so be it, but I am here for me.

Yes, this board is often shallow. Yes, this board often lacks sentiment. But i'd much rather become a strong-willed and proud male, than an ass kissing AFC.

Shallow? No. Searching for love? Nuh-uh. Becoming a better person? You betcha.

This board does serve it's purpose far beyond what some people may think. Just one of life's many tools.

Besides, my game is better off for it. And the ladies love that

I am oh so very very sorry. I was confined to my own definition of Love.

I don't actually mean female-male "romantic" love when I used the term in my original post. I meant all types of it, even with guy friends and family.

I find joy in "Loving" everyone- not just my girlfriend.

It all sounds so hippy-ish when I read back on what I've posted, but all I can say is that I've never been a happier person in my life!

I guess what I'm saying is this- you'll never "find" love when your looking for it. And by love, it can mean things like popularity, friendship, romance, etc. You can only find it when you give it away! It's as simple as that!

And no killacam, its not really much of an argument I have there! Simply my philosophy (albeit a badly written one). :p

You obviously don't have to accept my philosphy, but for gods sake, I hope the guys on this board find a better philosophy than "Coerce people into liking me." Take a step back and look at this board. See how much pain these guys endure! See how much effort is put into this stuff. And compare this with the actual amount of "Love" (or happiness) gained!!!

Self improvement- its a lvoely thing and I'm 100% FOR it. But seriously look around, how many people here are honestly improving themselves?

Just my opinion anyways.

In all honesty, I don't see it as coercion (sp? haha:p). It's about making positive changes that benefit you. Since these changes are positive, you become a more positive person, which in turn attracts people to you, since people enjoy being around other happy people, right?

While it's true that some people are here just to get laid (or something of the sort), that doesn't have to be all that it's used for.

I like you a lot Soapz, you're a positive person, that's a fantastic quality to have.

You do preach a good point though, there are a number of people that pass through this board, only to lead themselves to more frustration through failed efforts to change. Some people to ultimately cause themselves more pain, while infact trying to search for the opposite.

Very hippy-ish :p But it's better to be happy than miserable right? I ain't usually fond of the corny happy kinda stuff, but it's a positive attitude that makes lots of lifes sh1tty moments seems irrelevent. I suppose I could lighten up a bit

Good post. Albeit out of the ordinary, it sticks to a main theme entirely..

Happiness. Ain't nothin' wrong with that.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Yeah well.. It's great to be postive.. but I mean don't lose sight of the fact girl's don't like those they preceive as below them. They can't do it.. they can't help it. So.. don't start 'loving' others if the feelings won't be returned.

I mean I know your way probally feels better, but hey.. you'll eventually start wondering why people aren't returning the feelings and you'll feel all empty inside. It's a harsh truth of reality, that's why simply loving everybody isn't some quick fix to your life you gotta offer them some actual value as well.

I'll give you an example.. that happy homeless crackhead on the street probally loves everybody.. does anybody love him? No.. of course not. They all hate him. That's why these guys are looking at improvement besides simply 'giving love'. I mean just because you think hippy-style doesn't mean anybody else is.. no chick is just gonna let you fvck them as a 'free love' sort of thing.

But all in moderation right?

You know Soapz, I like your attitude and your outlook, but most of the forum isn't what it seems. Are there some people like you described sometimes? Sure, every forum is bound to have its stupid noobies. But like KillaCam said, this forum is just as much about self improvement, making yourself BETTER as a person, improving your LIFE in general! Look at MrMikeViperConfidence. You can't tell me he's at least made some steps since he joined here to be a better person, regardless of success with chicks.

haha, when I said "this place" seems so shallow, I wasn't referring to the entire DJ site- merely the highschool section! ;)

I agree guys, self improvement really is excellent, and I'd be an idiot to argue against positive changes. But sometimes I read a post and chills start going down the back of my spine. I simply dont see how "What ****y funny line should I be using?" as being a 'positive change.'

I've mentioned this in Krassus' post, but I think its worth mentioning again. You can't Force Love. You can't use this merely as a "technique" to get a girl. You must genuinely have the burning desire to love others.

And yes Bvidd, I Almost forgot- all in moderation :D
