"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Default dating a high maintenance girl--help!
so now i'm dating this girl and i find out that she's reeeeally high maintenance. not so much to the point where she makes me buy her expensive gifts and such, but a few nights ago she actually waited for me to open the door for her instead of just opening it herself. there are other situations like that too that just really get at me. she says it's being chivalrous but i know there's a line between being chivalrous and being completely whipped by a high maintenance girl and i've definitely crossed it. my friends used to tease me about it; now it almost seems like a warning. i've never dated a HM girl before and i can't say i like dating one. the girl herself is nice but her HM front is just too much for me. i've given her a couple ultimatums before that didn't really work and last night i basically said "hey, your HM really pisses me off, change it, i'm leaving, don't call me i'll call you." she told me that she knows that she is a hard person to date (at first) and that she's "testing the waters" to see if my personality holds up. she was upset and told me that she would change but i didn't want to hear any of it last night, due to me being so mad and that we all know what is said when you're upset may not be true. in the end i told her to take this weekend to really think about how she is treating me and if our relationship can really work out.

what should i do?

i can see that this girl has some nice qualities; my only problem is that i have to break her HM shell. or, is it not worth it?"

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

This is making you want to cry?

You did well by speaking up, I'd say. She'll come around and you two can surely work out a compromise. Call me old fashioned by I see nothing wrong in chivalry, as long as the girl is NOT expecting it. I'll open doors for her whenever we're out but if, for whatever reason, she gets to the door before me and waits... then we have some problems.

I've had that kind of situation before and when she stood and waited for me to open it for her.. I stared at her in semi-disbelief and then I just started cracking up.

Needless to say I didn't keep that one, long.

That's not me. I'm the Captain Acid guy who last posted telling him what's up.

The ironic thing here is this...

The girl is very feminine. She is likely a very traditional girl...which is what most of you claim to want. Traditional girls require you to be a traditional guy...including opening the door, pulling out her chair out, etc. If you want a girl who does those things for herself and does not act traditional then the tradeoff tends to be a woman who competes with you and is more masculine and likely a feminist.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

but surely MOST girls are in between this extremely feminine (even for my taste) woman and the feminist. I've never been with a girl that demanded that I open the doors for her, and would wait until I did. Thats just ridiculous. What does she do when she's alone, wait till someone does it? Haha, if she expected me to open the car door when we got home, she can sit in the car the whole night, cause i'm going inside to play video games
