"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

So at work,I clock in,get to work and this co-worker starts telling me that her and two other co-workers(one a gay guy & a women straight) had a conversation about me last night.

I was told the conversation was about one thinks I'm straight, one thinks I'm gay & one thinks I'm bi?!?! This was out of left field! Man I laughed soo much when she told me,I had no idea what to think. So apparentely the gay guy thinks I haven't come out of the closet yet. Now one employee who knows I'm straight said to the gay guy"You know what, now that I think about it you have a point. He doesn't have a girlfriend,he keeps his body in great shape,he always takes care of himself.I guess there is only one reason he wouldn't have a girlfriend." Man I should have kicked her in the shin when she told me that she egged it on. Now to top it off I guess I added "wood to the fire" by saying "What's shakin baby?" to him,I say that to everyone instead of "whats up" when I first see them. I never thought that a gay guy would think anything of that, but I learned my lesson now. I guess they talked for awhile about what they each thought...Boy do I love break room gossip.

I mean in one retrospect it's a compliment actually. All the gay people I know keep themselves in tip top shape, are smart and have common sense. Then there is the other side,I'M NOT GAY!

How can I derail this gay guy's thoughts?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

saying "what's shaking baby?" to new people you meet or a guy is gay. If i saw a guy doing that I would think he was gay.
