"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

How did i ever end up being like this? Why am i so gutless and lame? Where did all my confidence and self-esteem go? SIGH I must've hit a peak in my days and now im just starting to drop. Something as simple as asking a girl to the prom could not be done. I just can't get some alone time with her. Someone who hangs out in my group is also planning to ask her but i dont know when so i want to ask her before him but he has a buddy of his whos always ****blocking for him by not allowing me to spend some alone time with her. Im just so godamn frustrated right now. I dont wanna ask her through the phone because the prom is still 4 months away and it would make me look desperate. I want to ask her out but im afraid it might be too awkward because we see each other so often (we have 3 classes together..just my luck...but i try not to pay attention to her in these 3 classes) So what do you guys think my next move should be?

Also, the guy who's planning to ask her? He's some loser, not kidding. He hangs out with me but we barely talk. He's always following that buddy of his whos helping him ****block when he isnt around. The girl whom i want to ask and that guy they hang out together and talk together a lot. If i were to make a guess i'd say hes her "girlfriend" and would definitely be rejected but i still have my doubt. Once i was talking to that girl and she told me that she thinks that guy is just a loser and hes just some ****y guys whose ego is inflated. Yet she still talks with him a lot. I really think that guy is just in her FZ. He's just one of those guys who does schoolwork and play games all day along and only go to places his ****blocking buddy go to by always sticking to him. I mean come on, if i let a guy like this beat me, that would make me a piece of ****. My biggest fear right now is since they talk with each other so much, those 2 guys might ****talk about me to her and ruin my image. Lets just hope it aint true.

A little bit more for those of you are still with me here. I know, for a fact, i have a good chance of getting her. Just by the way she would look away when we have eye contact and how when we talk shes afraid to make eye contact with me (good signs yea?). And i dont reallyy know if this means anything but when we walk to class together she always like to hang on to my backpack by grabbing it and walking with me. I was once the alpha male of my group where that girl with hang out with us occasionnally but somewhere along the line i got caught up with family matters and stress so the ****blocking buddy kinda took over. He's always grabbing attention by making stupid jokes and funny noises. He talks with the girl frequently too along with my competitor . I am going to take everything back.
So all you fellow DJ's out there, please help a once successful DJ out. I have lost my DJ'ness and would like to take it back. This right now is my biggest obstacle i ever came across in my life and i will definitely be a changed man once i cross this.

We have a 5 day break right now and my goal is to get her to be my date by the end of this break. But time is running short because the other guy might ask anytime. He has a friend from another school who is in fact a successful DJ as well. HIm and I we use to talk about tricks and stuff but i had stopped talking to him and now hes helping my competitor out. This is no walk in the park, its WAR against myself , a war that will either break me into pieces or make me a new man. Five days from now the war will end and i want to be the new man. So please, i need all the support that i can get.

My plan right now is to give her a surprise. She seems to love surprises. I called her once out of nowhere for the first time ever during new years countdown to countdown with her. But i didnt really get to have a nice convo with her after that because me and my buddies went drinking after. She seemed to enjoy the surprise when i called her. That's why right now im working on maybe getting another surprise but i still havent come up with one. I will post all the steps that I am going to take just to keep myself in check and also maybe you guys can help me out as well.

My story begins here. Here we go.

Thanks for all of you who read this. Hopefully people can read this thread and learn as well.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

But anyways, I finally read it. until you said it was your war and your struggle or w/e.

Just call her after the weekend or something. Plan out what you want to do with her first, THEN call her. Ask her if she's busy, and if she can hangout this week... hopefully the next day... or THAT day. then when the hangout/date is over... hopefully you can talk to her again to hangout at least 2 more times that week/break.

After you know shes interested. give her a hug and ask her to prom.

blah blah blah... blah blah... blah blah blah. k, go do it.

Currently planning. Might call her up tonight but need some convo ideas. Just found out that guy went skating with his ****blocking buddy because he found out that girl went . hopefully nothing happens tonight. This is like a race, i've never lost.

so i called her this morning but her phone was off. now this eliminated my chance to talk to her on the phone because id ont wanna call her again, it'd make me look desperate. what other choices do i got?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

nothings wrong with calling one more time because her phone was off. just say "i calling you again since your phone was off earlier" and if its important, say it's important

i guess you;re right, except things are a lil bit different now. im not sure if she has a date already, so i dont know if i should still call and ask "wanna be my date to prom" right away. what if she already has a date? then how do i reply? maybe i should find out if she has a date yet first..

There is a good chance that she will reject the other loser. But you might never know she might say yes.

I would just ask someone else better than her or maybe from a different school, but I dont know how much time you have till prom because you need to get your soicial status up.

If I were you dont listen to me get someones else advice thats an actual DJ because to be honest Im not a DJ yet but I am becoming one just like you.

It sounds like you really like her, but nomatter what happens you can always ask someone else and better.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

lack of eye contact isn't exactly a good sign. Does she kino w/ you often? Does she laugh around you? Do you ever actually talk? Call her up and ask her to meet you somewhere or if you can pick her up. Go get coffee or somethin.

brother, this is a cold hard case of one-itis. Travel away from the high school forum for a bit, go into some dj-bible material. Better yet, most important thing u can read right now is Pook's Fifteen steps. My best advice to someone who needs a different mindset. Yet i know its harder then it sounds, thats why u feel these complications. But i was in the similar boat, just try to develop different mindsets, it worked for me to conquer stuff like this.
