"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Ok,so after about 2 or 3 months of having a crush on this girl in my class,i decided to finally talk to her.I think this was the first time i actually felt something for a girl in my life..So at first we were both really shy,but now that school's over we text a lot and we both know eachother pretty well(to the point where conversations were about sex and stuff like that).

2 days ago we were both invited to a party and i stayed near her and we talked a lot and everything went fine. After she left,a friend of hers told me that it'll be better for both of us if i stayed away from her and stopped talking to her.At first i was like  because i knew that we were getting along pretty well so when i got home from the party i asked her if that was true. She replied saying that it isn't true and that i'm a nice guy and she wants me to talk to her because she enjoys it BUT that there is another person she likes.I was very disappointed and i asked her about that person. She finally ended up telling me that actually she doesn't like anyone and that she doesn't want to lose me as a friend.

So after that i stopped talking to her and now i don't know what to do.I'm gonna see her in 2 days,so maybe you guys can give me some advice because i think i love her and i dont want to lose her.

We're both 17.
Oh and sorry for the spelling mistakes(i'm really tired and english isn't my native language)

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

She lied telling you she liked someone else and then changed her story claiming she now likes no one. Sorry mate, she's not interested in you. Just by the fact that she lied you, I think you ought to distance yourself and forget about her altogether.

She tells you she likes someone and then later changes that and says she never liked anyone...? If that's not a lie, I don't know what is. But that is besides the point. It's clear you have been placed in the friend zoned. You've known this girl for 2-3 months and there's been no escalation. The only thing close to escalation were the "sexual topics".

From the information you have provided, it appears that if you do make a serious move on her, you're bound to get rejected. She knows you like her but the feeling doesn't appear to be mutual.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

The better question is: what CAN you do?

You can try to escalate with her by inviting her out for coffee and see where that leads you—most likely a rejection will take place, in my view. Or you can decide to cut contact with her/stay as friends but obviously that will not make her your girlfriend.

She tells you that you cool and nice and funny and all but she likes someone else...but then later tells ya she doesn't like anyone? Something isn't adding up.

As Blistex has told you, you can try taking her somewhere then escalate. Rejection chances are high ill tell you, but you're going to have to try if you want to achieve something dude.

Might as well just do it now and get it over with. It's not like the attraction is going to grow if you wait a week and call her. She knows you like her so let's see how she responds to a get-together (don't call it a date, it places too much pressure on both of you).
