Think I have Oral Herpes

So I'm 22 years old, and I've never had anything ever, probably because I wasn't as active with girls in my early years. About 5 months ago I dated a girl who had Oral herpes, but never kissed her while she had an outbreak, and I pretty much didn't have anything up until now. I also started seeing a new girl about a month ago, and have only kissed one other girl other than the newer girl (which i'm seeing currently) probably 2 months ago. It pretty much looks like a pimple on my upper lip, and it hurts just a little bit if I press against it. My question is, should I just leave it alone or should I get Abreva or something else for it. Any tips would be appreciated because I don't know, as I've never had this problem before in my life.

I used orajel multi-use if I have outbreaks, it works well.

The first couple of times it might look bad, so try not to be too much in the sun or wind, don't strain yourself at the gym or anywhere else until it passes. Take some vitamins A, E and C.

Don't worry about it too much. As close as 80% of the population have oral herpes on the mouth. Even if she did not have an outbreak you can still catch it because it easily spread through contact.

Cool thanks...yeah part of the problem also is that my new girl wants to see me (Could've gotten it from her or another girl) and i'm kinda embarassed with this and wouldn't want her to know that I have something like this.

If its a new girl that you never made out with, then I would reschedule using some lame excuse. Chances are that she also has it but nobody wants to make out with someone with a visible sore.

herpes is usually on the corners of the mouth. There is no white head like a pimple.

I would guess you just have a zit.

Yeah I'm really hoping that it's a zit...I don't want to deal with this crap for the rest of my life.

Dont worry, I got it when I was like 14. Has never affected me or my game in any serious way. Just keep a clean diet when you get breakouts.

Deal with what? Pretty much everyone has it and it only pops up from time to time.

According to my doctor, "You will know if you have oral herpes". My best friend since gradeschool got it from making out with a girl and he said it was like big painful blisters and sores on his lips and in his mouth !

I used to smoke pot with him before he told me that so I got tested at the doc.s just to make sure(it was negative).

I also get little pimples, usually just one at at time, on the edge of my mouth and my lips. I think a lot of people get these and they can look bad, but oral herpes is much different looking than those.

But yeah go to a doc, get tested, the only way to know for sure. But it doesn;t sound like you have it.

Does it hurt bad enough to affect daily activities? are your lymph nodes swollen?

Dam, I would be pretty pissed if I dated someone who knowing has herpes but didn't tell me. Man, but I bet theirs tons of people who do this. Whats the duration between herpes outbreak cycles? I'll know a chick that long before dating her.
