Agreed. If you ask me, this forum has been going downhill fast lately. And I don't say that easily - I've never been one to buy into all that "This forum used to be good back in the day" type talk.

Down Low was banned for repeatedly breaking the rules despite multiple warnings. We arent big bad mods on ego trips. We're regular guys like everyone else. There are rules, and if they are broken, and we see it, it has to be dealt with. We cant catch everything. But repeat offenders usually end up getting banned.

Do you guys want to be part of a forum where a handful of members go around flaming the p!ss out of whoever they want, whenever they want? I doubt it. It brings everyone down and turns away guys who need help.

If you guys think the forum is going downhill, why dont you try to make it a place where you'd like to be?

I've always regarded guys who choose to berate others as women...or men with serious insecurities. Most times it doesn't get the end result they are after. Sometimes the opposite result. That being said these guys are just annoying once you hqve them pegged. Way more sensitive to criticism than their targets. I think their worst fears probably involve being dressed down verbally, in public or perhaps it happened to them before.

I wouldn't have banned him. But I'm no mod so my opinion is just that. It takes all kinds, and occasionly those types can challenge ya. The danger is if in the off chance they do inspire someone , it reinforces the annoying behavior.

I mean I started tuning out dudes that talked disrepctfully after I got over my fathers tired ****. I always wondered why guys would think that attitude flies. Ahh well.

I love it how the mods ban like 3 people and think that suddenly the board is going to be awesome. PM me and I'll give you a list of a dozen more posters who should be banned. Then maybe some real discussion will take place, not just a bunch of omegas calling each other "faggot."

If I may offer some constructive criticism:

Your trolling consists of either shouts of "YALL CAN"T GET LAID" (which btw is odd coming from a 38 year old "man") or your continual endorsement of POF (also strange for a 38 year old "man" at a site aimed toward better puzzy and better self). Occasionally you'll give some "game" advice to save your ass getting banned and to plug your blog but it always seems to have the stench of FemImp cheese all over it.

Why is titties held to a different standard than Thumpy? I am confused on this "rules" thing.

To be fair to the mods I likened zarky's gloating post of DownLows banning here with that of a bpd chick who deliberately taunts her fella until he snaps and punches the stuffing out of her then gloats as the authorities take him away.

I may have thrown the odd C word in here and there and a few other unsavoury words aswell. There's probably something in the sosuave rule book against that.

Thumpy has been banned. We need to be extremely careful about deleting threads as that can escalate into a censorship type of situation based upon personal opinion or whim.

Mods are selected based upon a personality that displays restraint and a careful consideration of all factors before taking action. Emotion has to be completely out of the picture, and there are factors we must consider that might not be readily apparent. That being said, we're taking a close look at the troll situation and looking to clean things up.

I've been on forums where the mods are trigger-happy, and in most of those situations they start banning guys for hurting their feelings or challenging them in some way. This is something we need to avoid at all costs. I truly hate to see a guy who may be a little weird or even a little abrasive get banned, just on those factors alone. Sometimes those guys stimulate useful dialog from others. And a lot of the weird guys are here because they're weird, socially under-developed, and are trying to change. But rules are rules and MUST be enforced. Rest assured that I (and others) are taking a harder look at obvious trolls and rule-breakers and will take appropriate action.

The personal attack type of posts should not be touched at all, if someone has beef with another person let them post up all they want because in the end only they look like tools nothing more.

I totally disagree with this. Flame posts make a discussion forum look really trashy. There's no better word to describe it.

Imagine you were on a science board and saw this conversation:

Person 1: "If the two angles are equal, it follows from SAS congruence theorem that the two triangles are congruent. Since they are congruent, angles A and A' have the same measure. And, angles A' and A'' are the same because they are vertical angles. So since A and A' are the same, and A' and A'' are the same, it follows that angles A and A'' are the same."

How seriously would you take that science board? And if you wanted to discuss science, how long would you stick around?

The reason SS sucks sooo bad these days is exactly because of this. The few people who come here to have somewhat interesting conversations are soon frustrated by how ridiculous many posters are. And those people leave and post elsewhere.

If the mods truly want to get SS out of the rut it's in, they have to ban personal attacks. First attack, one week ban. Second attack, one month. Third, you're out.

You can attack ideas all you want, but ad hominem attacks are the mark of a small mind, and this place has far too many small minds on it to be taken seriously as a PU forum.
