"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

This is in response to HUMANIST PMs to me. I thought other's here might benefit from this so I'm posting it here.

OK lets start with the friends dynamic since this is a good jump off point for other areas. Let me begin by laying something out for you that I'm sure is a staple ideology for you - that of intergender 'friendship'.

First off, men and women cannot be friends, or at least not in the way that most people perceive same sex friendship to be. Now the natural resoponse to this from a well conditioned AFC is "I have lots of female friends" or "what are you trying to say, I can't have female friends, they're all enemies?" Which of course is the standard binary (black or white, all or nothing) retort and the trained AFC thinks anyone suggesting that men and women's relations as friends could be anything less than equitable and fulfilling is just a neanderthal chauvinist thinking thawed out from cryogenic freeze in the 1950s. But you are incorrect - not because you'd want to actually be a woman's friend, but because she cannot be yours. There are fundamental differences in the ways men and women view friendship within their own sex and the ways this transfers to the concept of intergender friendship.

Quite simply there are limitations on the degree to which a friendship can develop between men and women. The easy illustration of this is that at some point your female "friend" will become intimately involved with another male; at which point the quality of what you perceived as a legitimate friendship will decay. It must decay for her relationship to mature. For instance, I've been married for almost 11 years now; were I to entertain a deep freindship with another female (particualrly an attractive female) other than my wife, my interest in this woman automatically becomes suspect of infidelity - and of course the same holds true for women with man-friends.

It's not to say that you cannot have female aquaintances, or that you must necessarily be rude or ignore all women with contempt, that is binary thinking once again, but it is to say that the degree of friendship that you can experience with women (as a man) in comparison to same sex friendships will always be limited due to sexual differences. Most men will only ever engage in friendships with women that they find attractive and/or interesting which of course is colored by their attraction to that woman. Now I'm sure you'll play the "not in my case" card and attempt to tell me how much an exception to the rule you are, to which I'll say, even if you legitimately are, it makes no difference. Because the very nature of an intergender friendship is ALWAYS going to be limited by sexual differences.

Even the best, most asexual, platonic, male-female friendships will be subject to mitigation based on sex. The easy example is., I'm sure you'd be jealous and suspect of your girlfriend were she to be spending any "quality time" with another 'male-friend'. It's simply time spent with another male who isn't you and you'll always question her desire to do so in favor of spending time with you.

So get out of your head now that you're even in a so called "friend zone" with any woman. You're either intimate with her or you're not. Women have boyfriends and girlfriends, if you're not fukking her, you're her girlfriend, simple as that. There is no friend zone - there is only the limbo between you being fooled that a girl is actually a friend on an equitable level to your same sex friends, and you understanding that as soon as she becomes intimate with another guy your attentions will become a liability to any relationship she might want to have with the new sexual interest and she puts you off, or you do the same when you become so involved with another girl.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Man, I wish I had known about this site when I was back in High School. That brilliant post would have come in handy back then. Pay attention to your elders young ones. They have the knowledge you need.

Hmm... I believe that there are some very good points in the OP's statement although on the topic of the "friends-zone" I believe you discribed it well in the last paragraph, just a break-down of terminology. While you say there is no friends-zone I say that's exactly what the friends zone is. Also I will disagree with you when you say that once a girl gets in a relationship with a guy she will grow apart from her male "friends". Some girls really do befriend guys and consider them their best friends and refuse to grow apart from them when they enter a relationship. Granted all the guys have a secret desire to **** the girl but thats the way of thing. I believe that seeing things in the absolute you presented in this article would be... black and white as you put it... There are always exceptions.

Of course lately I've been able to pull off a certain trick with women that involves jumping in and out of the friend-zone (for sake of convienence I will use this term) at will. I've gone from "oh I see you just as a freind" to "lets fukk right now" with the snap of my fingers. I believe if you plant the right tiggers in a women when you meet her and make sure she knows you are a sexual being then you gain the ability to hop out of the "friends-zone" when the moment is right (you loose a girlfriend, she becomes single) while still stringing her along and keeping her aware of you awesome presence.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Thanks for writing it up for me (and for the benefit of everyone else), good post. Though I think it should be in tips rather than high school.

Very good, makes clear of my question, a truly close friendship with a girl just can't work in the end. Doesn't mean one can't be acquantances (or even decent friends), but close friends or a frienship similar to the respective sex is not possible (I hope I'm not twisiting your point).

I'll have to agree as well as if you are close friends with a female its not exactly "friends" per-say more of a "status quo" because these close friends you have that are females are very flirty towards you. And you basically have free reign over them to do as you wish. (slap ass, touch, hold.. etc) all except gettin layed.

although true LJBF relationships are strictly platonic, and any advances mentioned above would definitely be regarded as callous and ignorant. and a quick way to lose a "friend" which is why some of my "friends" tell me i'm not a friend to them i'm just me
