I mean there is already war in Syria with US and other NATO advisers fighting among side of Al Qaida terrorists against Syrian government. But I'm talking about official US military involvement. It looks like it won't just be bombings, but troops on the ground. Ft. Hood got green light for deployment on the ground.

I think Russia is going to let US take Syria, and then provide weapons and men to conduct covet partisan war against US Army, US Navy, Israel, Turkey, and United States on US soil.

I highly doubt Russia is going to sink US ships and openly start a war. Because nobody wants a WW3.

The conflict in Syria, in my opinion, is an INDIRECT war between Russia and the US.

I would suggest the Syrian conflict is Saudi Arabia and Qatar (with U.S. support) vs Russia.

SA and Qatar have tons of liquid natural gas they'd like to sell to Europe. In order to do so, they've got to build a pipeline THROUGH Syria. The current regime won't let them.

Currently, Europe buys it's natural gas from Russian controlled companies in central Asia.

This is really a territorial dispute over the ability to sell resources.

Like two gangs fighting over a lucrative part of town that buys tons of drugs.

This is why Kerry mentioned recently that the Saudis said they'd pay for everything.

That the Saudis also support the petrodollar is also crucial.

And I agree that WWIII started already, (just as did the current economic depression that we're in) and there's going to be shooting in the near future.

Most countries are at the end of their economic rope, and when that happens, war is inevitable.
