Apparently I have an uncanny ability for forgetting holidays, I had forgotten this Mother's Day business too.

I don't mind spending money on my mother, but we all know come Mother's day all the flower prices will be jacked up to no end.

I'd like to get something for my mother and my two grandmothers, but I don't want to spend something like 40 bucks on three roses (not the gift itself, but the overpriced consumerism). Ideas?

Download some romantic (or whatever style you think they would like) music from the net using your favorite program. Burn a CD for each one of them and tell them that you made it yourseld, by selecting the finest music you could find. They should love it
