Ok after my post on extreme weight loss, i got introduced to the V Diet.

Im currently in the process of starting it.

(for those who dont know what it is, google V Diet, i believe its on some site called tnation.com)

Anyways who else is on this diet.

Hows your success.

Any Tips.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Charm, quit with the ADD man. You're like one of those guys who changes their routine every two weeks thinking there's something better out there.

Extreme weight loss is neither recommended nor healthy. Just be consistent with the basics (cardio, clean eating, watching your carbs) and you'll do fine, and your body will thank you for it.

the v diet is just another low carb, high protein, mod fat diet. you'd do better with solid food for so many reasons.

Every quick-loss diet plan has failed because none of them work.

Weight which is lost quickly will be gained back quickly. Don't waste your time.

Find another GF.

You haven't read much about the v-diet. Many of the people on the diet end up craving vegetables and healthy stuff as opposed to the junk food people would normally crave on a low caloric diet. Another factor in the v-diet is the fact that you dont just go from no calories to tons, a bunch of people make that mistake, I will slowly cycle off the shake diet and increase my cardio to cope with the increase in carbs/calories. If you do the diet right you can keep it off.

I agree with this. Your body craves homeostasis at all times. Losing 15lbs in a month would be a blow to your body's feeling of balance and it will try at all costs to replace the lost weight.

C&S .. your girlfriend was your girlfriend before this month, which makes me assume she likes you. If she didn't like you, she wouldn't be your girlfriend. So she's perfectly happy with the way you are - if you want to lose weight no problem, but don't panic it. Do it slow and steady.

Ya its mostly for myself. Cuz she left for a month to see her relatives and coming back i dont want her to see that i got a jiggly belly and little love handles

Overall my body is still in good shapy except my stomach. Thought ide go on the v-diet for about 3-4 weeks then continue with my previous diet which was working a charm on me.

When you go from being obese to gettin in shape through a lot of struggles and hard work and then you see a jiggly stomach form...its makes you pyscho.

this is exactly what my mom told me when i told her im going on this diet.

I just think ppl are too lazy and if they do start a diet like this they tend to give up fast.

Dedication and self control is a must.

I will post pictures when I am done. The nay sayers in this thread are correct about a low calorie diet "not working". YOU MUST have a plan to transition off the diet. I don't mean to be rude or assuming, but since neither of you have gone on the diet your views aren't based on first hand experience. I watched as my scale showed loss of weight along with loss of bodyfat percentage. I started at 17-18% bodyfat at 184 lbs, thats 33.12 lbs of fat. I stopped the diet after 28 days i ended up at 167 lbs with 13-14% thats 21.71 lbs of fat. With the loss of about 5 lbs for glycogen/solid waste in your body that is around 12 lbs lost. Which coincides with the loss of percentages of bodyfat. A problem with low calorie diets (other ones) is no buffer against muscle loss. Muscle loss drops your metabolism (duh) so on a low calorie diet you lose fat AND muscle which is why there is weight gain when you get off the diet. Lack of complaints from people already finished with this diet reassure me that it's a positive change in their lives.
