Don Juan
the same goes for different places in the US. im from NY, and when in NYC (manhattan), people dont make eye contact with you or say anything to you. now im in florida (tallahassee) for school and people are a TON friendlier.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I visited the USA in 2000, and although i was an AFC then, the amount of friendliness from the general public was amazing, girls would smile and initiate EC, people would say hi and be genuinely interested in what you had to say, where you were going and where you were from.
That's funny. This is my situation as well (NYC to Tallahassee) and I notice the same thing.Originally posted by Jon341427

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

A rapist while give you a explanation that is perfectly logical to him on why he did it did, so too with the wuss!
95% of guys problems is FEAR!
Most of you are not winning because most of you are not playing!
Stop with all of these crazy excuses of whyt you are not scoring, get over your insecurity and fears and the sky will open up!
Sorry I have to disagree here. I don't want to digress to far from the subject. We are no where near as bad a racist society as in the US. I'm not trying to be overly critical here but as big as the US is the haven't made any major attempts to eridicate racism as here in the UK. I believe they have even passed law that prevents the use of racist slang such as the "n" word. Any one who does could face a fine or imprisonment. This law has been there since 2001 I think.Originally posted by Q-Unit
In England people are so wrapped up in their own lives, that they have little time for others. We're also incrediably racist as we're a multi-cultural country. And as England is so much smaller than the US - this has a huge impact.
England: "Sexy and Single"
America: "All together now".
Our humour is also different. There's a much higher emphasis on sarcasm and dark humour.

I'm sorry but that's bollocks. It's YOU stopping yourself. Not society.Originally posted by Nighthawk
If it was socially acceptable for men to approach women in the street a hot chick wouldn't be able to go to the store without a hundred men casually starting a conversation.
They have to keep their defences up, and personally I do not want to hassle 95 women for the 5 that might be interested.
Having said that it is a shame whenever two mutually attraced people pass in the street and society's conventions stop them from acting on their natural instincts. In a small town you'll probably see them again, in a big city probably never.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
