That video is very iconic. Peak MTV and pop star days. Those were good times though. Now everything us just wanna be thug bull****. Everyone is covered in tatoos now as well compared to then.
Not Peak MTV. Peak MTV would have been something like 1985-1991.
I now live about 40 miles from the little hick town where she grew up, and she now looks like the standard single mommy in the area that is always available on Tinder, etc.
Britney Spears is 39 now. Her kids are 15 and 14. That might be more common for her upbringing and level of education. She has a high school diploma/GED as her highest level of education.
Given her education, her age at motherhood is typical. Women with less than a BA/BS degree tend to have kids earlier in life. She's on the cusp of late Gen X/early Millennial. I would call her late Gen X as I think Millennials begin with 1982 births.
Early Millennials (1982-1986 births) who got BA/BS degrees from universities tended not to have children before their 30th birthday.
Britney is not typical for her education, area of upbringing, and motherhood status due to the fact she has a normal range BMI. At 39, she also has a 27 year old boyfriend.
Also, if Britney has hit The Wall, let's remember that The Wall is softer than we think for most women. While most women who hit The Wall in their 30s get approached less in person, they often now post up on swipe apps and have hundreds of options. A 35-40 year old woman now, who in theory is losing SMV appeal, often has more options than a 35-40 year old man who in theory is at peak male SMV. This is more true for childless 35-40 year old women.
The Wall for women, if properly managed, is more like a soft, padded cushion.
