With the stupidness said about rape and womens reproductive rights during the election cycle, how the party doesnt seem to embrace gays at all, and how they really dont have much of the minority vote to begin with...this issue doesnt help the party's image. Especially as theyve been really trying to reach out to Latinos lately.

Discuss the story please. People here seem to have a habit of creating complaints and discussions that have nothing to do with a particular story, all because they dont like something about the story.

I agree that both parties say dumb things...but the GOP seems prone to stuff that many people on both sides of the aisle see as racist, homophobic, or misogynist. For a party thats trying to move forward and diversify its party, thereby getting more votes, too many of these incidents occur.

I mean just a few days ago, you had a famous doctor who happens to be Republican, mentioning gay marriage in the same sentence as bestiality and NAMBLA. I mean really? It seems to common that those who dont agree with homosexuality, bring up animal screwing and child sexual abuse.


I know Boehner must be sick of having to denounce these remarks that alienate voters.

I dont see birth control as a purely female thing. Its not just "theirs". I see it as ours too (until a male alternative comes along). Let women have the birth control and I dont care if taxes pay for it.

Means more women to hook up with and less babies to care about. Birth control is a win-win in my eyes.

Lets be real...while the guy in the link is an idiot as well....this kinda talk has been quite common in the Republican party over the last year or two. And its not a good look at all. And this thread is about the story presented, and about how this keeps happening to the GOP. This is not to say other parties dont have their share of numbskulls. Im saying that the GOP has more frequent blunders regarding racism, misogyny and homophobia.

The leaders in the party can see how bad this stuff continues to be, and agree that the party is divided. Clearly they have their hands full with folks who dont want to move into the future.

Who said Im angry about what you posted? I said both guys are idiots...but that discussion should be had about why the GOP seems to constantly have these issues.

A party thats trying to become more diverse and inclusive, continually has these issues where they alienate potential voters, and make many feel like they are stuck in the past. Democrats have their issues too, but its largely been the GOP making a mess of things over the last year.

if you are not stupid, you WATCH the clinic give her a birth control injection, good for 90 days or so. If you are actually smart, you get a vasectomy and DON'T tell her. then if she gets preggers, you know damned well that she's been cheating on you. for 100% certainty, tho, you have to go have your fertility checked, cause vasectomies HAVE "come undone".
