Thats a solid approach... the only thing I could add is - HAVE A ****ING STORY READY!!! Most girls are not as open as the one detailed w/ hte crocodile. They may be haing a great time but THEY THEMSELVES are too shy to take conversational risks! So during the first few min, the more you say, the less pressures on her - eventually things will "click" and she will take some convo risks and get involved. then just shut up and let the girl go =)

Again, this is a wonderful tip - AFCs dont take convo risks. But beware of female AFCs, be ready.
