Its a unique way to communicate with our women so why is there not a thread dedicated to examples on how to get the most out of this medium?

Heres a quickie that works wonders in the right context...make sure you know she cant possibly see u before u use this.

You: Wanna cu (or whatever)
her:cant working (etc)
You:Ur right, need to get some rest newayz, didnt sleep at all last night.
her:How come?
You:a)out on the piss b)shagging c)wishing u were next to me d)none of the above

what ever she answers txt back 'WRONG ANSWER! txt u l8tr '

works a treat...

I find that C&F is a bit harder to use with text messages/ aim/ whatever else because with text it can be very hard to understand what kind of meaning the words have. Without facial expression, tone of voice, body language and etc, that kind of thing is a bit more difficult.
I would rather talk on the phone than talk via txt.
And I would rather talk in person than on the phone.

I think that sms's are a great way to create interest in a woman and can be really fun at times...

A few ground rules that you need to know:

1) Always end off sms's with a touch of mystery, so she will want to "come back for more"

2) try not to make your sms's essay-like (too long) give her bit by bit

3) I find it easy to express myself via sms's... i mean, what is punctuation and "smilies" for? dont be selfish with them and the way in which u choose your wording helps alot.... here is an example for ya'all..

No use of punctuation:

"Hi Samantha I thought tonight was really nice and i enjoyed it alot. I hope that we can do it again sometime soon, so let me know when you are free again. From: John

Better version:

Hey Sam... I thought that tonight was really nice and i enjoyed it alot;P I hope that we can do it again sometime soon *wink* ... so let me know when you're free again missing you... Johny-boy


Now there isnt a HUGE difference, but the difference is big enough to make it clear to her that u are interested and that u MEAN what u are saying, and it kinda sets the mood too... I garantee you that a girl would much prefer to get the "better version" of that sms

Another thing that is nie to do is sms a girl when she will not expect it from you, for example if she knows that you are busy with something and probably NOT have the time to sms anyone, this will make her feel "special" and is sute to put a smile on her face.

And another thing that u can do is sms a girl, but just say something like "w00t" or "hi" ... she will find this funny and it will make her think of u, inn a good way, in most cases she will probably write back to you saying something like "umm.. hi... so what was that about?: )" and then u reply saying something like " nah... nothing... just letting u know that i miss and and am thinking of ya: )" ... This works like a dream

Great idea to start a thread on SMS/TXT. There IS a LOT of potential in this medium (however the costs sum up quickly )

I have a few ideas on this but one thing which I do when we're in the middle of the SMS conversation I'll say "by the way, i'm sending you my phone bill in the mail =)", since it costs like $0.10 per message. It usually gets a response like "WHAT?!?!" or they get that I'm kidding.

I also play around and use some lame or funny pickup lines on them when I'm bored over SMS. A pretty funny jokingly one which I read in one of Deangelo's newsletters was "Hi, I'm a regular, boring guy that likes puppies and rainbows and cuddling". They laugh and always mention something about it next time I see them because they KNOW I'm the opposite of that.

A few other funny pickup lines which I got from the Deangelo newsletter are:

"I'm the guy that your mother warned you about... but we both know you never listened to her anyways..."

"You probably can't handle me, but I thought I'd give yah a shot anyways. =)"

Just have fun with it and say some cute lines which you think will make them smile. =)

This always works. Always. Women simply can't handle being told they can't handle something lol. You can use this little phrase everywhere.

Its the people with attitudes like you that will NEVER last in a LTR..... Your way of thinking disgusts me.... whats wrong with saying "lol" or expressing yourself with a smiley face? from ALL of the girls that i have been with (a rather large amount) it has WITH EVEY SINGLE ONE OF THEM had a positive affect on them, and guess what... not ONE of them EVER suggested that i was gay by doing it. Your comment makes NO sence and is invalid in every aspect and/or situation. Its great to place certain phrases within *'s and speak from the third person perspective. For example, if shes being coy about her feelings or whatever you could say?

*Dearsappho thinks HB9 isnt telling the whole truth* or something to that effect.

What this does is allows you to ask a question you would not mormally be allowed to directly ask due to the removal of first person terms and is something that I feel is impossible in a phone conversation. Fantastic, use it all the time to great effect.

Remember, you have a penis and you are a MAN. MEN do not do the above. Chatting and expressions online is for girls, gay men. and guys that think they are straight but are really girly men.

Lastly, SMS/AIM leads to friendzone. Use the phone to talk to her and set up dates.. and if you must SMS someone keep the convo, short and to the point and always be ****y and funny.

SMS leads to friends zone only if you are unskilled at using it it seems. Empower yourself with as many tools as you can, my friend, but use it sparingly if your worried.
This thread is not about whether you should or shouldnt use it. People do. FACT.

Barbillus: I'm not even going to waste my time arguing with you because everyone is entitled to their own opinion... but all i can say, is that i DO use chat lines (Eg: irc andmsn) and i do sms people every day, girls included. Now at the moment i have a gf so i dont really flirt on chat lines or sms with OTHER girls, but i'll tell you one thing... Just from SMS'ing girls i got them begging me to go out with them, buying me airtime (for my cellphone so that i would continue to sms them), etc... on irc i had girls betting to meet up with me, wanting to cyber, amongs a whole lot of other stuff... I use "lol" and "smiley faces ALL THE TIME with these chicks and i have NEVER been let down by it, or called GAY by doing it And sms'ing and chatting on chatlines will only lead u to the friends zone if either YOU WANT IT TO or if you are a total AFC that doesnt know the 1st thing about dj'ing or flirting etc. I think we all know where u fall in on that one

Anyways... just so that you, and everyone else that reads this thread know, that your theory about sms's and chatlines etc is pathetic and totally invalid. If you want, u can PM me and i'll me MORE than happy to give u further tips on how to use sms's and chat programms to flirt with girls and so on... Tale care..

I only use AIM to talk with my male friends from out of town, I never initiate a convo with girls on AIM. However if they start to talk to me, I never ever have a serious convo. I believe a convo in real life is were all the good things happen.

As for SMS, I believe you can use it as a great tool, if you know how. My "trick" is that I barely use it. This way if I send some girl a SMS it will mean alot more to her since I almost never do it.

On the lol, omg, roflmao, I don't use it. But that's because I never respond SMS, I always initiate. Almost everybody knows what they mean and there basically is no difference in meaning between lol and hahaha. As there is no difference in meaning between DJ and Don Juan. These short abbreviations came to life because they made SMS cheaper, not to seperate straight from gay men.

errr.... I am more than successfull without those threads with sms's etc with girls... did u not read my post? Thanx for the concern, but i'm MORE than successfull with girls when it comes to sms'ing and chating on the internet etc... I'm not saying that YOUR way is "wrong", i'm just saying that MY way is far better, and has proven to work and be better than 100% of all the other guys that i know... yes.. 100% of them

I dont really think those 'highschool' posts are really relevant to SMS as they seem to deal specifically with AIM...in my experience the latter is a more superficial medium.
