I've been living in NYC for the past several months and recently I've felt like the role of logistics has really hit home with me. You can have tight game but it's tough to get anything going with a girl when you live in lower Brooklyn and she lives far uptown in Manhattan. Geographically, it's a relatively small distance but psychologically and in terms of time, it's a big deal.

Obviously, if you have a very high amount of attraction girls will overlook the distance factor. But for a lot of them, it's a deal breaker. That's especially the case in big cities like NYC, Chicago etc. where there is stiff competition....why travel 40 minutes by subway for a corn holing when you can get the same thing a 10 minute walk away?

I've noticed that success rates improve quite significantly when you live close to the venue where you met a girl or close to where she lives. Obviously, the proximity of hot girls is not the prime deciding factor in deciding where to live, but it is something to consider. Fortunately, many of the more desirable areas are where the more attractive women tend to congregate anyway.

Going back to my personal example. I've had a lot more success going after girls close to where I live in Brooklyn. Most of the more "hopping" spots are in Manhattan, but there are some pretty nice parts of Brooklyn too where hot girls abound. I've simply found these girls a lot easier to bed.

I agree. If your lair is within dragging distance of any kills you make, it's far easier to convince a girl to come back "for a drink".

In saying that though, as Rollo once wrote: A woman who wants to fvck you, will find a way to fvck you.

I've dated plenty of girls an hour away but for pure ONS, living close to the venue is a huge advantage.

My experience as well.

Logistics is a huge thing.

Much much better if you say "my place is only 5 minutes walk away" than if you say its 40 minutes drive away.

Dear Lexington,
I once had a plate who moved house to be closer!....a very uncomfortable experience...she became a real nuisance and in that I regularly meet her at the local shops she is still a pain in the arvse....A certain distance is no bad thing....15-30 minutes drive,that's my limit,you do get used to even the nicest bit of how's your Father,but anything more than half an hours driving becomes a real drag....also the danger of falling asleep.

I actually preferred to date women from the next town an hour away because it gave the space and opportunity to do my own thing and pursue other plates.

I imagine a girl from Brooklyn/Queens would have no qualms about traveling 40-50 min to meet a guy who lived on the Upper West.

The pretentiousness of some Manhattan residents is quite hilarious. Something you notice in NYC is that there are lots of girls working BS jobs that you would never even hear about anywhere else. These chicks have little money but they stretch themselves financially to live in a shoebox with 3 other roommates. But they refuse to make a 30 minute trip to my large (by NYC standards) 1 bedroom apartment because it happens to be in Brooklyn.

Totally agree with you. Manhattanites in general consider the outer boroughs to be as far away as the moon. Some are familiar with Williamsburg or South Brooklyn (near downtown) but if you're in Bay Ridge or Midwood, fuhgeddaboutit. Better to shop locally. The upside is the ethnic enclaves in various parts of Brooklyn can offer some interesting options for you.

That said, Brooklyn-to-Brooklyn isn't as bad...you should try the Smith Street area, or Williamsburg (a lot of hipsters but a lot of meat markets there too). I haven't gamed in a few years now but I know that if they live in Brooklyn, they're more willing to explore the area and at least meet you halfway.

Williamsburg and Park Slope are my main hunting grounds. I haven't been to Smith Street. Any suggestions?

yup thats new york. Lots of cute-ish chicks on the come up looking for their 'mr big' to take them away to a pre-war 10 room apartment complete with maid service. These are private school girls who went to the 7 sisters and have daddy paying for half her bills

The chicks don't mind brooklyn per se, its just the idea that they are that much further from the rich boy with the trust fund they so clearly deserve

I'd love to have a McClaren's type situation where I live above a bar or perhaps just down the street from one. But it'd have to be in a nice part of a city. Where I'm at I do have a local dive bar, but A) there's barely any women and B) the ones that frequent it are more often than not old and fat.
