Chapter One: The Rise
It's been a long time coming, but it's time to tell this tale in full.
Things didn't start off so bad for my old man. In his young years he travelled the world, his long hair and beard were a hit with the ladies, he was a guy that said "screw it, I'm going to go motorbike through Iran for 6 months". He had a huge social group and his pick of women, and an uncanny ability to make money.
But the time came, as it does for us all that Infern0 Sr had to start thinking about his future, and this was when he started to get serious with Mrs Infern0.
Mrs Infern0 was not adventurous, she was a quiet woman with few friends, but she had lived next door to Infern0 Sr since they were kids, and eventually he became besotted by her. She took very good care of her appearance, always fashionable and attractive looking with slender figure.
Infern0 Sr picked up a job on a building site, and within a year was leading his own crew. Back in these days London was undergoing a construction boom, and big money could be made. Mrs Infern0 did not work, she was a housewife, but it was not unusual for Infern0 Sr to hand mrs Infern0 1000 pounds and tell her to treat herself. 1000 pounds was a lot in the late 80's but he could afford to do this regularly.
Eventually Infern0 Sr started his own construction business, he owned 4 vans, a large wholesale store and offices, and had over 20 employees. He took advantage of industry contacts and secured cut price properties which he refurbished and rented out. At his peak he owned 4 houses.
Mrs Inferno did not work.
Infern0 Sr was a success, he was wealthy, popular, had everything to look forward to as he approached his 40th birthday. When his 40th birday party happened, over 200 people were present, and none other than Eric Clapton was hired to do a guest set.
Infern0 srs future looked bright, what could possibly go wrong?
