"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Situation:

Just got out of LTR with awesome chick, due to circumstances. Left on tuesday night after getting an awesome bj and left a present... all over her face. All right.

She was great; funny, on my level of conversation, damn fine to look at, loved sex and porn, great job... Man, no idea if I'll ever have it that good again.

But I've left that behind. I relocated for work, had to be done.

Now I've never been fantastic at picking up generally - but then I've never really tried. I have basically 0 approach anxiety, and I'm comfortable with myself. My main problems are a limited social circle, and physically I'm not great - not fat, but on the wrong side of "average" and as we all know, average is not where you wanna be.

So my aims:

1. Do more stuff by myself. For instance, tonight I'm going out to catch a gig by myself, and then heading into town after to link up with some friends. We'll see how that goes.

2. Work on my fitness. My diet at the moment is total bull**** - I eat what I want, whenever, and a lot. I can't run much, which isn't great as I love playing football and tennis. I'm gonna start lifting a little, and maybe take up skateboarding again... Or just play more football.

3. Get playing music again. I got my degree in music, and if you give me a drum kit, guitar, saxophone or piano, I can make things happen... But I don't. I'm lazy about music, and that has to stop since playing music live is a key to untold amounts of pvssy... This much I know from the times where I wasn't so lazy

Long story short, I've fallen into a bit of a lull, and am gonna snap myself out of it and hopefully have you guys tell me where I'm going wrong.~~

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Interesting weekend. I went out, saw a band on Friday, made some new music connections (turns out one of the guys who was playing knew me by reputation, so I'm heading into the studio over Christmas, which'll be great). Hung out with this girl I knew from uni for a couple of hours (total lesbian, but she's hilarious and wanted to hang, so fine). Went to leave, and she gave me a kiss... Not a very lesbian kiss, either! But she was absolutely wasted, so I'm ignoring it.

Caught the train to another city, met up with a friend (who just got out of a really LTR, textbook co-dependent AFC, poor bastard). He managed to forget his ID, so he bounced early, leaving me out by myself. Fine.

Went into the first club I walked past (I was fairly drunk by this point). Met some friends of friends, mixed girls and guys, got talking, one of them asked me where I was staying, went back to her place. She's probably only HB5-6, but it saved me from having to check into a bloody seedy hostel for the night, and she even bought me lunch the next day. Score.

Fast forward to Saturday night, and I'm a$$-drunk with old friends in the town where I went to school... How did I even survive there in my teens?! The only girls about were girls we went to school with, some hot ones though. Played doubles pool with a couple of them (always a smooth, sure-fire way to approach, especially if you've got a bit of skill on the table!). They left after the game, told us where they'd be later, but I ended up getting way too drunk and not following them up at all, I was having way too much fun.

It's possible that I drink too much. I didn't touch alcohol until I was 18, but I've sure made up for lost time on that one.

Don't drink so much.

Oh yeah, I've been talking to this chick off OKC. Polish (I seem to have more luck with Polish women who relocated to the UK in their teens, no idea why).

Oh, I do love a girl with a sense of humour. Let's get married and have the most boring children ever!

Believe it or not, i actually do have a sense of humour. I was just being sarcastic.

My evening's good, thanks. Just relaxing after work. How's yours??

Me
Same, although I worked from home today, so work is generally relaxing!

What're you looking for on okcupid?

Her
What is it you do then?

Hm, im not too sure to be honest. I suppose im bored of being alone. Since i moved to London a few months back i havent really had a chance to meet many new people. Just wanted to see if i can meet some interesting people on here. What about you??
Btw, are u a drummer? My dad's a drummer:p

Me
I am indeed... You're very perceptive! I like your father already. That'll make it far less awkward when I have to ask for your hand in marriage!

Her
I came to London to work as a make-up artist... but 2 days after i moved here i got a job at a cafe, where I work as a vegan chef. Life's full of surprises.

My father likes you already too. Also if you would like to have a beer with him while jamming to some music, then he'd probably agree to your proposal without any further questions.

So where are you from? Im guessing....Wales??

Me
Brilliant! Now there's just the small challenge of winning you over...

Yes, south wales. How about you?Sent from the OkCupid app

Her
Small challenge? Is that how little you think of me?

I come from south west of Poland. You seem to speak a bit of polish?

Dzieki! I used to hang out with some Polish people, but not anymore, so it's slipping.

You should probably make some new polish friends, so you can get back on track..

Hmm believe it or not.. i actually don't :p well there's a couple of guys that work in the same building as me, but i dont even know their names. I could find out for you though... ;)

I think I'd benefit more from a female practise partner. Preferably attractive and wealthy. Know anyone?

Her:
Hmmmmm... i don't actually know a single polish girl in London! Well... except myself, but that's no fun:/

Me:
I don't know, you seem quite fun! Give me a text.

I think this was basically weak "online game", mostly for fun, but anyway she text me a few hours after, and long story short, after some general texting and a tiny bit of showing my human side, I have an offer to meet up next weekend, before she goes home for Christmas. My personal favourite of her texts so far:

"I think I will lose my mind if I dont get laid very soon. I cant think of anything else haha"

All in all, it's not looking bad

I should drink less on nights out. Find a balance between enjoying myself and knowing where the fvck I am... Drinking less will also help my health I guess.

Solved the above; she counter-offered to sit on my face on New Year's Eve. Fair deal I say.

Went out by myself last weekend; I whole-heartedly advise it. I bumped into people I knew, but was generally just drifting; chatting to strangers, playing pool. There was an old guy with a guitar in one of the bars... Got chatting to him, played it for a while, and then went over and chatted to some girls nearby. They were instantly far more receptive than other girls had been... Maybe I'll start carrying a guitar around!

I played a few games of pool with a pretty stunning girl, she was there with four almost equally hot friends who were all pretty unimpressed with how she was ignoring them to play pool with me. Ha. Gave her my number (I much prefer to do that than to take their number - ball is instantly in her court, I know if she's interested) and sure enough she text a few days ago. Then my phone went in for repair, so I don't have the number to reply... Damn. Ah well. One for the future maybe.

Going to the cinema tonight with a fairly lovely Australian girl. Not stunning, but cute, you know. She says she's on "one of those being single for a while, loving myself before I love anyone else" phases... We'll see about that ;)

Ex texted me earlier: "I know I'm not supposed to use this number, but Real Madrid VS ManU :O" (I got her into football). Haven't replied, am not planning on it.

Started lifting some weights yesterday. Nothing impressive, but I figure if I stick to a little every day, then that's for the good. I've replaced fizzy drinks with blended fruit smoothies, too. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

I hope none of you guys are reading this. Must be dull as hell.

New Year's Eve was fun. Went to London with a friend, met up with OKC girl (he went off to a party) watched some fireworks, back to her place where I proceeded to give some mighty fine head and get some in return. She wanted to f***, but I wasn't really in the mood... Odd one. Maybe I'm getting old!

But anyway, it drove her crazy, so she's making plans to get some time off work and travel 5 hours to see my band play later this month. Ha. Game, set and match to me, I think.

I feel good about this - I have no intention of this being a serious thing, but I've been totally open and honest from the outset about that, and have been reinforcing it - for example when she asked if I had any New Years resolutions, I said not really... But I'm gonna be staying single and having plenty of sex! To which she said "You go do that" a bit defensively.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
