"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

My buddies and I were at some eateries and I told them about the "rejection game," we were about to start, I was going to take the lead but I got scared because I didn't know how to start.

If you're at an eatery spot not a club, what do you say to a group of ladies while they're eating their food. You can't just interupt, I don't want to be rude or anything and just go up to them and make a fool of myself while they're chowing down on some salad.

Does anyone have any rules regarding this? Any suggestions of what to talk about, what to say or do?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

lol, amassing rejections intentionally is good only for desensitizing yourself, imo. You shouldn't care how to start because you're aiming for rejection.

i've thought about trying this myself, but haven't really gotten around to it. :S I'm not sure if aiming for failure is really the way to go...i've been rejected enough times when I *was* trying to succeed so I already know failure isn't that awful.

Heres how i woudl open, i would actually go over to the table where all the ladies are sitting and do not look at any of them for about 4-5 seconds then open with "would it be awkard if you were with your friends eating and some guy randomly sat next to you and didn't say anything" Then they respond and from there you have opened. Based on there response i would have said a ****y and funny remark which brings the attention to me and then i would work on gaming the chicks up.
