"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

a friend of mine jumped into a relationship with a girl who was in a LTR. and i believe, he wont confirm, that it's because of him that she broke up with him, and then after about 3 days they were already out officially dating

anyway, i think the relationship's doomed, and i fear she's using him as a patsy or just an emotional tampon or she's on the rebound or something like that

i also think the relationship is soley based on him being the shoulder to cry on when she was breaking up with the other dude, but this is all speculation on my part

how can i broach the subject with him without sounding like a fvckface?

can u guys give some wisdom regarding past such similar instances?
cheers

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

If she is the one that broke up with her ex bf, she doesn't really need to be looking for a rebound. Rebounds are often used to build up the ego again. The ego will be broken when someone breaks up with you so you look for someone that will help you build it up again.

Why do you think she is using him as an emotional tampon? Have you witnessed this?

I don't think there is anything you can tell your friend. By now, he is probably in love an anything bad you say about her is gonna have him dislike you. Let him find out for himself. He probably isn't ready to hear stuff like that and if so, he will find out soon enough. Try not to get involved in relationships of your friends cuz in the end, you'll turn out to be the bad guy.

thanks caveman
confirming my initial thoughts
however, does that mean i have to be friendly with her?
she goes to different college to me, so i rarely see her, but i often see her online

i never initiate a convo with her, and even if she does, i[m somewhat ****y (guess i[m practicing) and often tease her

should i change this?

make note: i dont wanna be the one who breaks em up

Just treat her like you would anyone you don't care for. Don't be too rude to her cuz your friend is not gonna like that and he will eventually stop hanging out with you. Be patient. If they are in a bad relationship, it will end all by itself.

Just be there with some good advice and support if they do break up and your friend is getting into oneitis mode.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
