"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

...damn I'm on a posting spree tonight.

There are a few writers like Pook and Krasus and Photo-1 who have written some incredibly good posts on this forum.

Personally, I like their posts. But there's a mjor problem with those posts: hardly anybody follows them.

Most of you read, get inspired for a day or two, maybe even a week, and then continue to do what you've always done. Just as most people know that there is NO SUCH THING as spot reduction, they will still do tons of crunches in order to get a six pack. Their knowledge and habits are not congruent. Just like what most of you are doing here.

Take for example, the "live like a child" post from Pook. I didn't really follow it after I first read it. I thought it was nice, and then I went looking for more openers, more porducts, etc.

Now, I'm starting to live like a child, but not because he said so, but because I enjoy it. I try to have fun every week, I'm not giving up on my dreams, as naive as they can be sometimes, and I'm incredibly mischeivous now... which is how I was as a child. Girls love it when I'm being mischeivous, it's a good way of being teasing, ****y and funny.

Although I dislike some of the idiots here who only come on here to whine and never do anything about their problems (simply being on this board will NOT solve your problems), I have some respect for those of you who are making an effort.

Here's the thing, though, don't try harder, try smarter. And ignore the rules. Listen to your instincts... if you want to call a girl the very next day, call her. If you don't feel like it, don't.

Everyone keeps saying "let's have an approach/journal forum"!!!

That's what the main forum is SUPPOSED to be. It's not to whine about crap that you'd know if you'd only take a second and listen to your instincts.

And the next post you read that inspires you, don't just click back to the main forum and read the next post. Think about the post for a second, especially if it's one of the greats on this site. Think about it for a good 30 minutes before reading the next post. And change your life.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

This is a good post, with a really misleading title.

The problem are the people, not Pook's posts. He gives sound advice and I agree it is crazy motivational, but that fire just dies after a while. It's because many have become keyboard jockeys and develop a superiority complex from joining sosuave. You have this knowledge, sure, but you're no better off than the worst AFC if you don't use it.

Good post, no go edit the title....or maybe you wanted to attract attention with it.:p

The way I see it, meeting and attracting a girl is about presentation and appearance mostly. So basically it's acting (even if you were just being yourself that's acting as your true self, be it nerdy or sauve). So to be successful you need to be a good actor with good presentation, i.e., body language etc. Now, how could you by just reading a post, even if it had good specific advice, and go straight out and follow it to make a successful pickup? That'd be analagous to reading an movie actors script and performing like say Pierce Brosnan, but even more difficult because because n a pick up the girl isn't following a script. I know in reality it's not this hard because the girl will help you out if you've developed attraction in her, but if not she won't help you at all.

But my point is these post do have great info and the tips on here are useful, but the only way to get better at attracting girls is through practice. But I do think more feild appraoches on here would be useful along with the approach used.

being too concerned about not trying hard is precisely the opposite of not trying hard!!

Now isn't that living like a kid???

Ok... seriously.... I know your intentions are good... but this is just a rehash of several other post about the same issues...

There are alot kb jockeys here but there are more AFCs on this forum... They need help and motivation... and the right advice...

some of the better advice I have read here in quite awhile.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

The main problem with Pook's post is that they are an unnecessarily long and melodramatic run around the main point....and often the main point can be found in the DJB and countless other sources on the internet.
