I have a few options up my belt, I am working full time, have savings, have a monthly salary, so I can study, do all of these on the side, I am in my mid 30s.
I've got a full time job, however there is no progression, no pay progression, hence I really do need to move on.
Work is work, so I'm not bothered which avenue I go in.
The options are:
-There are some Java, C#, Python, .net, JavaScript jobs without a degree required, a portfolio and skills will suffice or network my way in for a job
-Try to do freelance web development and establish contracts, establish myself
-Develop many complex android, iOS apps and try to get into a contract mobile app developer job, contracting, or network my way into a contract
-Since I don't have a degree, I can get into a masters on Computer Science course performance based admission and upon completion I've counted on the job sites there are loads of graduate programmer, software developer, software engineer, AI, some cloud computing, data science, data engineer jobs available for graduates
-Do a plumbing course, plumbers are well paid here in the UK and there is a possibility for self employment, contracts
-Do an electrician course, again, the pay is good and scope for contracts, self employment
-Or do a masters degree in a different subject, perhaps some subjects allow a performance based admission
-Use my customer service experience to try to move into an office job, I'm thinking of logistics work etc or find an agency that provides office work. Work my way up
