"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Simplicity, i love that word.

Your perceptions on wether a situation is good or bad is greatly persuaded by the mood you are in. If you are sad and depressed and your girlfriend dumps you then you are just going to fall into more depression thinking you have noone to love you, but if your girlfriend dumps you when your in a good mood then you are quick to realise that every rose has its thorn and you had a fantastic time while it lasted.

It's hard to get in a good mood but there are alot of things you can do (small, simple things) that greatly help boost your frame of mind. All though you have to understand you are not CONSTANTLY going to be in a positive frame of mind, so make the most of it while its there. When your in a good mood do something in the moment because in 10 minutes your crazy ass body might not feel like it anymore.

Some simple things on how you can get yourself in to a good mood:

1. Wake up earlier then your used to and go for a scenic walk.

2. Have a large breakfast with healthy cereals, some fruits and other slow digesting carbohydrates to give you energy for the rest of the day. (i.e wholemeal bread instead of white bread)

3. Keep your body nourished throughout the day.

4. When you awake make sure you stretch all your primary muscles.

5. Exercise, do more sports. When you do alot of exercise alot of helpful chemicals are released into your body, changing your mood for the better.

6. Just live - remember it

It's so simple but noone really ever follows it. When you just live you soon start becoming succesfull and having a good time. Next time your at a party or a social outing dont think about how you can always pick up at these kind of things, or how you could be the life of the party. JUST LIVE and these things start to develop anyway. Enjoy the party while it lasts because by tomorrows sunrise that party will be gone ... FOREVER!

STOP TRYING TO PLAN LIFE TO THE MINUTE, live life while its here. BE GLAD YOUR ALIVE! BE HAPPY YOUR HERE! Think of all the things your going to accomplish in your life and all the crazy adventures you will put yourself through and then just live. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, life is perfect and full of crazy ****, you dont need anything..

Of course have some goals and work towards them but remember that once this moment is gone.. its not coming back.

Do the little things that go a long way.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Awesome post! A lot of us, myself included get caught up in everything and all the pressures pushing on us and start lifelessly living. We need freshness! Pre-DJism, I was one depressed lonely little boy because I never valued myself or went out of my way to do this kind of stuff...I was lazy and proud of it, no matter how pathetic it was.

1) "Wake up earlier then your used to and go for a scenic walk."

I like it, but I need more sleep as it is. I love those on weekend nights though.

2) "Have a large breakfast with healthy cereals, some fruits and other slow digesting carbohydrates to give you energy for the rest of the day. (i.e wholemeal bread instead of white bread)"

Hell yeah, big breakfast = Happy Maki :D

3) "Keep your body nourished throughout the day."

Yup! A bottle of water at school, etc. helps a lot. And a big lunch is good too.

4) "When you awake make sure you stretch all your primary muscles."

Do it...btw is it bad to crack ur neck left to right? I dont mean like socially but medically.

5) "Exercise, do more sports. When you do alot of exercise alot of helpful chemicals are released into your body, changing your mood for the better."

Two weeks till driving...then its gym time

6) "Just live - remember it"

Agreed! This takes a bit of effort to totally embrace and understand, but its worth it.

A few things I'd like to add:

7) Do something that scares the living crap out of you every day. Turn the shower all the way to cold suddenly before you get out (In the morning...this terrifies me, but it wakes me up. Also this is said to be a good boner suppressor for a few hours...dunno why.), talk to some chick (especially if you're still afraid of this!), soak a tampon in gatorade and peanut butter and throw it on a second-story media center window (I know a guy who did that)...do something that takes balls!

8) Don't set limits on yourself. For example, #7...don't just do one and say "Whoopee, I'm done!"...if you get another opportunity or feel the urge to create one, do it!

9) Read some of Sammo's posts, the man's a genius.:D

Brilliant post, Sammo.

I totally have to agree with these things here as well. I find that living a simple life and not caring about some certain things (in our case, girls) come hand in hand. Lemme give you an example: You IM a girl... She doesn't respond for about a minute. Do you need to care? NO! Who cares what she was doing. Living life is one of the hardest things to do nowadays. We think too much. Don't puss out on opritunities, because they may not be there the next time around! Great posts Sammo and Need. :)

wow, I don't do any of those things :-/
Excellent! All the more you have to gain.

A big part of happiness, as just demonstrated, is perspective. Say you bomb a test...overused example, yeah, but the man with the good attitude and the perspective says "Crap...oh well, there's three more tests, and I'll study now and now and so on..." and he plans how he will succeed. The man with the bad attitude or simply a mildly pessimistic (often called "realist", but as Pook says, "As you think you shall become"...think you'll fail, and you will. Plan to succeed and you will either suceed or you will fail but know that you put your all into it.) anyways, the pessimist will say "Crap! D@mn dude I suck at physics!" and it gets him down, and he does not improve or learn from it, and is setting himself up for failure again. It's a quite vicious cycle, eh?

Let's say, for example, a woman. The poor pessimist gets rejected (He probably never believed he would get the chick anyways, but he wanted to try because he probably really wanted the chick...meritable but not a smart way to go about it.) and that totally SCREWS his day over. He starts thinking maybe he's too fat, too ____...etc. The optimist, who has a life besides chicks but found this particular one rather attractive...lets say he gets rejected, since otherwise this whole thing would be pointless. He just figures she was on her period or something, or better yet, KNOWS that there are plenty more horny hotties out there and doesn't give too much of a crap. Our pessimist is down and condused, our optimist is maybe a bit disapponted but still going strong.

"The harder you have fallen, the more rewarding it is to get back up."

If you're lazy, read the post, it'll deter your laziness. Lazy is bad! BAD!

But if you're persistently lazy and want an ineffective and unsupported bit of advice, here is the post in an amount of text that probably would fit in some kind of nutshell of the other.

Be an optimist.
