"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

You have to do 20 minutes of activity in order for it to have a significant cardiovascular benefit. I think that's what he may have meant.

your fat burning starts after 20 minutes. the first 20 minutes you're burning the sugars that are in your blood stream. after that your body starts to fuel off the fat you have on your body. so if you jog for 1 hr, only 40 minutes you will be burning the fat, the first 20 mins you'll simply burn whatever sugars you got in your blood from your lunch or whatever

so if u actually want to lose weight and get rid of the fat faster, you got to really jog for long periods of time

and no its not too late to start for anyone

Please stop it.
Do 20mins of HIIT every day and see what happens.
How do you know how much "sugar" is in my blood?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

your blood keeps sugars in it to fuel you in the short term. if you don't have any, you die. it takes about 20 minutes of intensive cardio before your body switches to fat burning mechanisms.

This just keeps getting better.

Do some research before you spread this misinformation.
20 mins of cardio is great for lowering body fat.
It doesn't matter how long you run for, if you have carbs in your stomach, your body won't be burning body-fat.
Jogging for an hour like you're suggesting is going to be catabolic.

hey wolf, while you are correct in what you're saying, I think you have to put this into perspective. For Sedentary Joe just getting into fitness/lifting, step one is to increase work capacity and general conditioning/gpp. Jogging for an hour could be labelled catabolic, but Sedentary Joe doesn't have the muscle mass to catabolize.

I agree that somebody who has added 40+lbs of muscle should be selective with their cardio, since their physiology will be only too happy to shed most of it.

For the first few months, IMO someone should focus entirely on building work capacity and doing whatever cardio/strength training they could get their hands on without overtraining.

After 3 months of doing whatever, then someone might be ready for the "fasted/hiit/muscle sparing" route.
---
I was squatting 320 for reps doing entirely too much cardio, and that was because I'd built my work capacity/conditioning so much, which isn't necessarily a bad thing to get out of the way in the first few months.

It's hard to go wrong with your suggestions though.

That's exactly what I'm saying. You should have one single goal and work towards it and then finally switch and go pursue something else. If your goal is to put on muscle, don't try running cardio at the same time.

The only exception comes when you are trying to lose weight. I believe you should be doing LOTS of cardio but also at least once or twice a week, lifting weights to keep your current muscle mass from being burnt out.

I have gotten into the habit of now doing the following around an eighth of a mile track:

* Walk 4
* Run 2
* Walk 4
* Run 2
* Walk 4
* Run 2
* Walk 4

That combined is roughly almost 3 miles. I do that at least 3 times a week when I'm not in classes.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

5 lbs off in 2 weeks. damn dude you're on the pace. you got 15 lbs left to go bro.
I hope to lose as much as possible in this amount of time in a healthy manor. I will keep the pace if not step it up with some weight lifting as well.

You should be weightlifting. It's a VERY EFFECTIVE TOOL for losing fat. You reshape your body. Do both!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I have to start slowly on my weight lifting due to a prior injury where I had to get my shoulder blade surgically re-aligned. Football sucks.

I just don't think it's a good idea to have newbies starting off with bad training principles when we have an excellent program under in the vault i.e. "where to start." We have a whole bunch of guys thinking this is going to be some quick fix. This guy isn't going to be around to help once his site fails, and everyone following his program will be lost and confused.

The fastest way to build work capacity for a strength training program is strength training.

I'm just sad to see EFFORT's program abandoned. When he helps modivated guys just because he wants to help, not because he's trying to attract people to he business.

The third week is up and running. I got 6lbs heavier so far. Neo got 11lbs and Mcguyver (sp?) got 13lbs heavier.

I'm pretty stocked some of you guys made it so far, many guys quit by now.

Anyway, i'm gonna keep this short and sweet, I gotta hit the sack. Enjoy the podcast.

Ended with a song that's been stuck in my head.. been playin this Beyonce song for hours all day long

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
