“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives - choice, not chance, determines your destiny.”
The Lessons of Epicurus Chapter I: The Basis of Failure
Complacency, too many men become complacent with what they consider success. But is it really success? In just a few paragraphs we’ll use logic to answer this question and may each of us find their peace
Scenario 1: A college student is taking two college level classes. Class 1: Under water basket weaving, this is a class that the college has recently opened. It is a GPA loophole, one simply signs up, pays the fee and receives an “A” letter grade for the class. No need to attend, no homework, no Midterm or Final Exam. Class 2: Biomolecular chemistry, at the beginning of the semester the professor tells the students in the class that in the past 10 years only 5 students have acquired an A letter grade for the semester. The same college students still decides to enroll in the class, he works his butt off all semester, many sleepless nights and long weekends. But at the end of the semester the professor privately consults him and lets him know that he is infinitely impressed as he is only the sixth person in the last 10 years to get an “A” in the class.
Scenario 2: Is it the same thing to be handed $100 or to earn the same $100. If it was the same thing how come many disabled and incapacitated individuals feels useless and are eagerly wanting to be able to work again. To be able to work hard for what they deserve and need to survive.
Well I’ll tell you why, because it’s not the same thing. Now I know you’re arguing, yes it absolutely is. In both scenarios the individuals received the same incentive. But I’ll explain why it’s not. What would you feel prouder about, receiving an “A” in underwater basket weaving, or the same “A” in Biomolecular chemistry. Which one of these two classes would you brag about? The one that required no work and effort, or the one class where you joined the exclusive group of individuals to receive that same “A.” It is human nature and especially men to WANT to work for what we aspire. Nothing that comes easy in any aspect of life is temporarily lasting or worth it.
Now you might be wondering that may all be true and accurate but what does any of this have to do with men on a website about improving themselves and picking up women. And since I know this would be a question asked by many I’ll break it down a step further. Too many of you mean are becoming COMPLACENT with the idea of sleeping and surrounding yourself with average women, friends, jobs and every day activities. Sleeping or having 10 average women by your side will never bring the same fulfillment or accomplishment as having 3 excellent women at your disposal. Because just like underwater basket weaving they require no effort nor provide any challenge. But men, never mistake quality for quantity. Average is surrounding us on a daily basis, but excellence is never truly achieved by many.
