I've been thinking...

Many groups in society are marginalized. For years, the gay community was abused constantly.

However, it has been shown that the gay community is more likely to spend money, take out higher loans, and have deeper credit card debt than the hetero population.

Right about this time, there was a more prudent effort by the media and government to lobby gay acceptance.

Do you think this has anything to do with their spending habits and net worth?

Is money the answer to ending prejudice?

Wealth and spending habits are a reflection of the level of education and availability of disposable income.

Most gay people don't have kids they're directly responsible for, thus extra money. And the fact they're more likely to finish their education than their straight counter parts is also a huge factor.

Money can't end prejudice, people do. Homosexuality has been around since the stone age, but religious doctrine (read: Fear Mongering, power hungry elite) has deemed it to be a sin and dangerous, thus weaker minded individuals harbor so much hatred for homos.

Back to the gay dollar.

In my store I have a section for men that is exclusively dictated by what I think a gay man would find fashionable. I have a "gay angel" on my shoulder when I shop for inventory. I could be totally wrong of course, however, my contribution to this thread is to say that the "gay section" of my store tends to sell quite well. I noticed that some of my men shoppers (I admit I think they are gay without really knowing for sure) will spend crazy amounts of $ for a shirt that is JUST PERFECT.

That's an interesting point, but the gay people I have met who work and go to school at my university are often cliquish and outright prejudiced against straight people. Does that make them secretly straight? With the big fat lesbos, I think that sometimes might actually be the case. Some of them just seem to have given up on men b/c of failure due to being obese. As one example of the reverse prejudice, when a department head in charge of hiring people is gay, they will always hire more gay people. It's like there's an unspoken code that they have to stick together to help each other out against the evil world that is prejudiced against them.

Doubtfully, but consider the fact that they've probably be ridiculed all their lives, and their group in the social system at your school allows them to survive and crutch one another emotionally.

The fact that they resent, or are prejudiced against straight people sounds more like a coping mechanism than a cover up. Are they simply rude, or do they seek confrontation?

Most strong homophobics approach gays illogically and with out real interaction or personal experiences. Fear drives their feeling more than an actual experience.

homosexuality is a chemical in-balance (more estrogen than testosterone obviously) caused by factors such as food. Some studies that have been covered up show that problems such as ADD can be cured through a healthy diet. Healthy meaning no meat, dairy and basically only what the Lord meant us to eat (fruit and vegetables). If what a child eats can cause a chemical inbalance that affects his behavior how about sexual behavior? foods such as tofu (very popular in that Godforsaken city san francisco) is known to contain high levels of estrogen.

imagine what a pregnant mother eating tofu is doing to her baby. Tofu isn't the only food that has feminizing effects. Soy milk has been written about in books for having feminizing effects on men and other negative effects.

Homosexuality are bad but sometimes I feel sorry for them. We are all being poisoned and we don't even know it. Things we take for granted make us more violent, while others make us more feminine. This is a deliberate attempt to break the natural balance of nature.
