What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I think that this is a truly awful piece, but how you can draw a parallel with Americas future warrants further investigation. Not on any possible evidence that you have, but more on your state of mind.
I will be brutally honest here, and say that the rage that you feel which you demonstrate here on the forum, is eating away your peace of mind.
Yes many of us are all too aware of the injustices against many sectors of our brotherhood, but for the love of God can you try to find some good karma?
The ONLY reason that I am writing this, is for the sake of your little girl, whom you've mentioned in a previous post.
I am far from a raving leftie, commy, PC shiit. More possibly further right than you, but honestly, really honestly, do you think that seeing her father so distressed about the world is going to help her become a woman who feels good about men and the world?
I really urge you to find some kind of way of coming to terms with some of your anger...if only that it helps you to bring up a happy daughter, and who herself has a happy marriage, who then produces many happy middle class American grandchildren, who listen to your mellowed views in awe, in your old age.

What an interesting Post...I visit Honkers every couple of years,it is by Asian standards very prosperous and expensive for the traveller...very clean,and orderly...Must say that most places the Brits colonised,they left in a good state...just as did the Romans...And yeah your great Nations Demise does resemble Romes decline,But I ask you fatal Jay have you been to Rome lately?seems very prosperous to me...As I have said before When Britain was at her Peak,the Sun never set on the British Flag,her mighty fleet ruled the Oceans of the World,but her poor starved...Today they are not worth a plugged two Bob bit,but they have a Welfare system the envy of the World...And your great Nation would be so much better off ,without the burden of Defense and the cost of these futile little Wars...But as my friend Tony says,God bless America,with all your faults we love you still!

Once I was in West LA, way out by 405, and saw literally tens of thousands of men pushing shopping carts and sleeping in their own filth next to abandoned commerical buildings. Living in cages isn't the future of America. It's our present.

I think Looper has a pretty accurate portrayal of america's future.
This is an example of China's obsession with class. Those people that work in HK, don't need to live like that... in the mainland they can have a 2 bedroom apartment for 300 HK dollars a month. HK is the Western 'starbucks' city of China and anyone who is 'anyone' in China, lives there.
