The Four Pack vs. the Six Pack

Looking at some of the old school bodybuilders, I see that the ones that I admire (Arnold and Zane) had these cool four pack abs.

I kinda like that look more than the six pack.
Is it genetic, or did they do specific things for that look?

Genetics play a role in determining the overall look, but generally for a four pack you just need to have a slightly higher bf.
