Let me tell you a story about a guy. We will call him Alan Rivers. When Alan Rivers was around 30, he met a cute 27 year old girl.
Just when they started dating seriously, a hot 18 year old girl he met at work reached out to him through social media, started playing him hot & cold. So even though things were going "great" at first with 27 year old girl, his head was always wondering about the hot 18 year old.
Eventually the hot 18 year old girl lost what little interest she had to begin with and moved to a different city. But in his mind he was constantly wondering "What if I had been single when she showed interest...?".
After a year of LTR with the 27 year old (now 28), he realizes he doesnt like her enough to marry, live together, or have children. He tells her as much, expecting her to break up with him. To his surprise, she didnt (at the time). But slowly but surely the dinamic started changing through the years.
He started losing some hair, and confidence along with it. He was vulnerable in front of her. He lost frame. She lost respect and attraction for him. The frequency of sex started decreasing exponentially. After 4+ years, she left him.
So there he was. Mid thirties, Single and without confidence. He wanted her back, but he only wanted her back because he was afraid of being single.
He talked to the guys of this website called SuperSuave and one of them told him something along the lines of "Hey, lets assume you get her back. How do you know she is not gonna leave you again later?" Damn, bro. That really clicked for him.
He started reading Rollo Tomassi. One of his Iron rules is Never go back to an ex. Of course Its a bad idea to ga back to an ex! He knew this already but had forgotten it somewhere along the road.
So he decided he would never get back together with her (or any ex). He started working on himself and going back out there.
After a few months of dating new girls, he met a younger and hotter girl. So his ex leaving him when she did was a f0cking gift from heaven. He just didnt know it at the time.
